With all of the talent in the minors and only one more year of the Corbin contract, I would love to see a move for Bellinger. He could play CF or 1b to start, but move him to 1b to be a lefty anchor in the line-up. Of course, he is a Boras client.

He's young enough that I see the on-paper fit but the number on Bellinger is just going to end up in a range that I can't see the Nats entertaining

Any chance the Nationals go out and trade for someone like Brendan Donavon or a different middle infielder?

Apologies, Internet froze on me for a minute

Donovan's controllable for long enough that the Nats could check in, but it's a tough match since STL is going to want MLB-ready starting pitching

I don't see St. Louis moving Donovan for Gray or Cavalli (at least until the latter gets back on the mound). Gore's more borderline -- I could see the case for it if the Cards think he has untapped #2 upside still -- but that leaves Washington really light on the long-term pitching outlook

Alright that's all I have time for today
Sorry about the WiFi delay at the end

Thanks for hanging out for an hour. I'm on Twitter @affranco10 if you want to reach out with any more questions. I also do chats for Front Office subscribers every Friday afternoon. The queues are pretty small, so I typically get through the large majority of those questions
Enjoy your night!
