a couple years ago, Edwin Encarnacion got 3 for 60 at the same age/platform year, but was DH and was more healthy. market seems to have gone down since then in general

i did an independent study at Baseball Info Solution that showed the gap is actually .2 seconds. Righties take forever to get out of the box most of the time because of how they rotate toward third with their hips, then have to change direction to 1B.
