A bit of a non-sequitur here - Tommy Pham was atrocious this year in the outfield per OAA, but he's been especially bad on balls to his left and on balls in. I don't know about the balls in, but is having an elite defensive CF (Kiermaier) hurting his range on balls to his left by taking all the LCF balls? Or is this something adjusted for?

Why is "never make the first or third out at third" the conventional wisdom? Why is it fine to make the second out at third? That's never made sense to me. Isn't "don't fuck up and do a TOOTBLAN" the better guideline?

being aggressive/risky to get to 2B makes more sense. You're scoring on a base hit from 2B with 2 outs because you're running on contact. It makes the risk of moving to third not worth it
