I was thinking Soroka would shift it about 5 points. Nice to know ZiPs agreed with me.

The Rookie Pache showing some good plate discipline.

Okay, I thought Buehler had a plan just against Swanson but he seems to be putting it in the same spot against Pache.

Dan <== had a pocket protector and slide rule when he was a younger lad...

No way!

I was about as forgettable and generic as you can imagine.
I doubt 95% of people in my high school class had any positive or negative impression of me.

Historically, using foreign substances was banned for two reasons. The first, because pine tar made the baseballs brown. The second reason was because slippery stuff allowed the ball to slip out of the pitcher's hand (lower the spin rate in modern terms). If it slipped too much, pitchers could lose control.

Pache is a walk machine in the playoffs. 100% guaranteed.

Pache looks so much like a young Andruw Jones, it's nearly uncanny.
AvatarDan Szymborski

Looks like another one of those weird 4 innings, 7 strikeouts, 0 runs starts for Buehler!

Paul  I was thinking from the offensive side of the Duvall  injury as  I don’t believe Pache  can bring that kind of power?  but is definitely fine defensively

I have been wondering if bauer's (likely) use of foreign substance in such a flagrant way is a long game scheme to shame mlb into policing them better and thus cutting down on strikeouts
AvatarDan Szymborski
9:33
Haha, like you can shame MLB.

Why does the mlb at bat app get worse year to year? It does right? I’m not crazy? This year’s issue seems to be forgetting what happened to the last batter.
AvatarDan Szymborski
9:34
The technology stuff taht the statcast crew doesn't have a had in tends to get a little worse every year, IMO.
Like in the old days in MLB.TV, you coudl actually click on a play in the game log and get taken to that play in the replay
So many usability things have gotten worse in MLBAM

Shaming any North American sports league is a tall order.

Man how did the Braves score so many dang runs with so many low-OBP guys? A lot of PAs for Duvall, Riley...of course, the top half of the lineup all hit like all-timers.
