Since the Pirates choose not to compete, has the PG (and the other paper) considered cutting back on coverage? Maybe fewer stories, photos, and using AP stories for road games will help lower attendance to the point Nutting will have to sell?

as of now, *knocks on wood*, the PG is the paper of record in Western Pa & feels an obligation to cover the MLB team in the city. Therefore, Bill Brink & I will cover every Pirates game from Spring Training until whenever the season ends. It's what we do and who we are.
