Bregman/Alvarez/Springer.
Pat
4:18
I meant first three batters although I guess three best hitters is probably a better assessment.
Craig Edwards
4:19
Trout/Rendon/Ohtani might have the highest average projection.
Chuck
4:20
Narvaez is sitting for the Brewers. Do you expect that will be a regular thing?
Craig Edwards
4:20
It wouldn't surprise me if it is close to a 50/50 split
with Narvaez getting more starts, but he'll sit a bunch.

Watching DeGrom be very good at Baseball makes me wonder about the rest of their rotation. Let's assume that a Mets starter goes down at some point...which of their prospect arms should I be looking at? Szapucki? Peterson? Someone else? Who's the one to bid more on?

Craig Edwards
4:22
Why did you lead me astray, Chuck? Why?
Tony Wolfe
4:22
Peterson threw 116 innings at AA last year compared with Thomas Szapucki's four. I'd lean toward the former
Jeremy
4:22
94 mph slider is ridiculous
Derek
4:22
Now dogs + baseball makes for a good commercial
Pat
4:22
I tend to think if Acuna reaches the next level everyone expects him to reach, Freeman and Albies are at least a comparable second and third option. I'll admit I still forget Betts and Rendon are in LA with Bellinger and Trio now
Craig Edwards
4:24
That's certainly possible. Eloy, Moncada, and Robert could be crazy in a couple years.
Pat
4:24
Like I think I'd take Albies and Freeman over Alvarez and Springer or Stanton and Torres.
Tony Wolfe
4:25
guys don't sleep on Hays/Santander/Iglesias in Baltimore
dynamite
Craig Edwards
4:25
I'd definitely put Stanton and Torres above those two though the Astros pair is tough given how Alvarez ended last season.
Derek
4:25
Alvarez might be a top 5 hitter in baseball already!

4:26
my god I just remembered we get to watch trout and Ohtani tonight
Craig Edwards
4:26
Nice play by Freeman and Soroka now matches deGrom's scoreless first.
Steve Nebraska
4:27
They need to make the fans less shiny
Craig Edwards
4:27
I haven't seen shins on any of the fans myself.
Derek
4:28
Can we just mandate a maximum 2-man booths while people are not within earshot of each other? The constant talking over each other is not great.
Craig Edwards
4:28
some three-person booths work better than others. Just depends on the dynamic. It's always good to have a storyteller type as well as someone who can focus attention on the game. Sometimes it take three people to get that.

they need to use that matte photo paper. I used to work in a 1-hr photo booth, ama
Craig Edwards
4:29
How does that hold up in the rain?
Nolan
4:30
What are the park factors in Buffalo like?
Craig Edwards
4:30
answered a little bit above, but here's a brief thing from milb https://www.milb.com/news/toolshed-assesses-triple-a-park-factors-3114...

Do you guys see any starting lineup/batting order surprises so far?  Twins are so stacked they have Sano hitting 8th.
Steve Nebraska
4:31
Pretty sure I had that right, but shine-y then smart guy... Just too much glare when the ball is in the air
Tony Wolfe
4:31
Reds sitting Akiyama against a lefty right off the bat was mildly surprising, but Ervin was kind of insane against southpaws last year
Craig Edwards
4:31
i think a lot more blue and orange might help , too
Pete
4:32
Anyone else enjoying this one game at a time to start the season?  I feel so focused on each game
Appa Yip Yip
4:32
Over/Under the number of Jays players who say the stadium stuff is "just more fuel for the fire" at 2.5
Tony Wolfe
4:32
It'll be kind of nice to try and stagger watching the last couple innings of different games later, but I was really bummed we didn't get an earlier afternoon game
Estevao
4:33
It's never gonna happen but would it be a good idea to capitalize on Alonso by trading him this off-season on fair value. It's quite possible that he peaked and it's hard to see him improving
Craig Edwards
4:33
I do imagine that there will be at least some familiarity for a bunch of those players and it could provide more of a home field advantage given the difference for the visitors is likely to be more stark and take more adjustment.
Tony Wolfe
4:33
I mean, just because a guy is done improving doesn't mean you should get rid of him
