RE: the existing investments, sure, but having someone in a position overseeing these moves, not great optics.

Castellanos has a career high 3.0 WAR. He would have to be over twice as good as his previous career best to win... (mind blown)
Eric A Longenhagen

Rays letting Margot hit right on right again in the 8th, down three. Interesting. Really thought they'd only platoon him.

I was watching a documentary on Roy Halladay and it made me sad

Whether Boston was the richest team or poorest team, they were in such a bad position to add a big contact. On the bright side, they now look positioned to be in decent shape financially in just a couple seasons
Derek

John Henry is one of the richest people on the planet he has enough money to pay literally any player in the league
Eric A Longenhagen

Early on in SD: MadBum sitting 88-89, Paddack 94-96

I have an opinion about the Hall of Fame and steroids. You see people make the case for Bonds and Clemens because both were Hall of Famers before taking PED and whether or not I would vote for them doesn't matter but to me that makes it worse. The player was so dominant that he would have been immortalized amongst the all time greats of his sport and he cheated. Why is that an argument in favor of them makes no sense to me

I'm a rules guy. I don't care at all about PED use prior to summer of 2004.
9:27
And then I consider it a rules violation, like any other rules violation, and consider it enough to push a borderline HoFer to the bad side.
And that's how I"ll vote in a few years

Is Feyereisen another deceptive guy from the Brewers pen? Looks like his fastball might play up a bit?
This is lude-i-cris

Whatever happened to two handed catches
Villar🙄

Tampa starting to make things interesting... two on, no outs. Rafael Dolis looks wild.

Bieber was one strikeout away from tying the opening day record.

Being in decent shape financially is not actually useful if your team isn't good. And losing the 2nd best player in the league is not the way to make your team good!
Eric A Longenhagen
9:28
Adames up, Jose Alvarado warming
Rizzo solo shot off Feyereisen. 3-0 Cubs
9:29
Also, Brad Boxberger sittig 93-94 right now after he was 88-91 at Driveline Pro Day in January is pretty interesting

Kyle Lewis just hit a ball about 700 feet

I get voting for them or anyone but the argument is senseless to me.

Feel like Eric had to develop a coping mechanism called "talking about baseball" to survive being trapped in a chat with Dan.

Hey, I've talked baseball!

So Kyle Lewis, who hit 4 homers during camp, homered off of Verlander

Look Captain Dan runs a very jovial ship...we all appreciate his willingness toward levity in these times. Long live captain Dan!
Eric A Longenhagen

Willy Adames single plates Manny Margot, Rays cut Jays lead to two. Still not outs in the 8th.
Mr Rocktober

Is PED testing still going on as usual, or is COVID testing taking up all of the bandwith?
AvatarDan Szymborski
9:34
I actually have...no idea.

Nasty wind blowing here in Tempe. I think the monsoon is finally here.
Ji-man Choi hitting for Zunino.
Brian CashGod

Now that would be a fun way to "enhance" the shortened season, announce that the league won't test for PEDs this year...
Brian

Thats just the 3rd horse of the apocalypse Dan.

Orlando Arcia with his third hit off Hendricks. Still the only Brewer with a hit
Eric A Longenhagen
