One game isn't enough to signal seismic changes usually, but I do think he's going to be good throughout the summer (given health, obv). He was toting a .800s OPS in late-May so it's not like he's been a garbage bag all year

If you're not hurting for saves and believe Smith is the long-term option, sit tight. I could see Smith being moved and setting up in a better pen, but I share the opinion of Kelley's short-termness since they're likely to trade for a closer or go right back to Pap

Just depends on the class of players for each so both vary season to season

This year's trade crop is dogshit so the rumors won't be as fierce. Coincidentally, this year's FA pool is also busted. But also, another reason is that the season is going on during the trade deadline so games on the field are always going to matter more. Free agency is the only game in town when it's going on
