There is no such thing as a no-win situation in the playoffs. You win, you advance and nobody cares about the why

12:39
hello paul, steeler fan from Edmonton canada! No fans is a huge hit!!!! even 5000 fans could've been a huge boost!do you get any sense from the players that they are disappointed? thanks go steelers!
Zeise
12:39
I’m sure the players and the Rooneys are extremely disappointed by this development

Do the Steelers have to beat the Browns for Tomlin to remain coach? For Fichter to remain OC ?
Zeise
12:41
The Browns could win 200-0 and Mike Tomlin will be back. I would be surprised if Tomlin moves on from Fichtner
Scott in Georgia
12:42
Paul, how many future HOF’s on our current roster?
Zeise
12:42
Ben Roethlisberger - locm
12:43
Ben Roethlisberger is a lock. Maybe Pouncey? Maybe Heyward? I would say if Watr continues what
Watt continues what he is doing, he is on a path too. That’s about it
Buster
12:43
Vance McDonald looked pretty good catching passes last Sunday. Much surer hands than Ebron. Why hasn’t he been used all season?
Zeise
12:44
Because he has been more of the blocking tight end. But I agree he is better than Ebron
Igor Larionov is Back Baaabeee
12:45
Its gonna be awfully weird and odd having no fans for an NFL playoff game. How do you see it affecting the outcome considering regular season had none as well??
Zeise
12:45
I think players are used to empty, stale stadiums. It hurts the energy in the building but won’t affect the outcome
Igor Larionov is Back Baaabeee
12:45
If Noodle arm Ben struggles does Coach Zeise pull his plug and insert Mason or is Paul going down with Bens ship out of loyalty like coach T. Will probably do?
Zeise
12:47
Mike Tomlin will ride Roethlisberger no matter what. I can’t see him benching Ben. I would have a hard time too when you consider that comeback against the Colts
Adam
12:47
Why do the Steelers continue to for Benny Snell into obvious short yardage situations?  It's always predictable (they line up big and bring in Snell), and he always gets stopped in the backfield.  At least with Conner there is the threat that it may not be a run.
Zeise
12:48
They want to figure out how run the ball. Period. And this is how they think they can achieve it. I would like them to pick a guy and stick with him

This is addressed to AK.  No one is comparing the 94 Steelers to the 2020-21 version.  This team certainly isn't overconfident. I dont think we'll see rap videos and luggage packed ready to go to the super bowl.  Dennis Gibson breaking up that pass from Neil O'Donnell to barry foster and then running to the 50 yd line whipping a terrible towel out of his hand warmer and twirling it in victory is one of the many childhood sports experiences id love to forget
Zeise
12:49
There is that too - that Steelers team was heavy favorites to get to the Super Bowl and nobody thinks this team has a chance
AK
12:49
I think the worst loss by a Pittsburgh team I remember was when the Pirates lost to the Braves in 92🤮
Zeise
12:50
That 92 loss was harder to take because of how it went down. But the 1991 loss was worse for me - that team was better and they were better than the Braves. The 1991 team was the Pirates best team since 1979 and was their best chance to win a World Series

12:51
Has the draft a QB fever gone down with the play of Ben and Mason in recent games?
Zeise
12:52
I don’t think it is nearly as important thanks to Mason Rudolph showing he can play in the NFL Sunday
Gene
12:52
Any word on how many fans at Heinz Sunday?
Zeise
12:54
The answer is zero. The state would not work with the Steelers and so the only people in the building will be players, workers, media and friends and family of the Steelers players
AOK
12:54
What are the chances there is an entirely new Steelers running back room next season?
Zeise
12:55
I think James Conner and Jaylen Samuels will be gone. I think Snell and McFarland will be back
Igor Larionov is Back Baaabeee
12:55
Hey paul just seen wolfs mandate no more than 2500 in the Steelers browns game. Just players and family and staff. My ? Is. If the Beagles make the playoffs on the other side of the state do you think he doesn't set it higher?  ?
Zeise
12:57
I do. And if I were the Steelers I would cut a deal with Cleveland to move the game there. The deal would be I control ticket sales and am treated as the home team. I’m pretty sure I could get 15000 Steelers fans to come to Cleveland for the game
Melanie

Paulie, once & if we pass thru the browns, would you rather play: visit Bills or receive Ravens? (If those were the only choices) I'm glad we had the browns from all participants on paper this round.. I ask you because I want to see who to root for this weekend.. I guess it's better to face ravens, you??
Zeise
12:58
I think the Steelers would rather face the Bills than the Ravens. That’s just me. I think the Ravens are gonna make some noise this postseason

Shame shame shame. My husband Kurt things also you and Walls needed to separate. Advocating for drinking is not good!!

99 bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer. Take one down pass it around......
Run Game 0

Hi Paul, I wondered your opinion on this. The offense has the advantage and can fore off the ball first.  When Roethlisberger hikes it he says a three sentence phrase like ‘block this up’. Doesn’t that give the defense a tell and allow them an early start advantage. Further, if PIT has trouble on 3rd and 1 then why don’t they try to draw more offsides calls?
Zeise
1:00
Roethlisberger has been pretty good at using cadences. I don’t know if that is a strategy you want to solely rely on in short yardage though!!
Paul from Sacramento

Paul - Are there any other playoff fields without fans? or is it just us?
Zeise
1:01
I think there are but I am not sure. I think the Bills might have limited numbers and Seattle too. But I haven’t read all the protocols
AK

People who think they have the duty to preach to others about their behavior on a sports chat make me want to drink...

Worse loss here would be friggin Scottie Reynolds.   Chargers loss was terrible but didnt keep a ring off the Steelers.   No way they would  of beaten the 49ers in Super Bowl.
