Big Ben wants certain players to be on team. Deshaun Watson wants to be consulted on Head Coach and GM hiring. Am I off base in thinking that these star QB’s are expecting too much (and I’m being kind in my description)

No I will be surprised if it is more than three. I can’t see it ever getting to five again even for teams in the HOF game

Yes the defense has some really highly regarded players coming in. And I think on that side of the ball with Pat Narduzzi coaching they have a real chance to become stars

Paul, this is a tough question, but I don’t believe Cowher should be in the HOF. He blew so many AFCG not just the Pats which is understandable but also to SD and DEN. That was Noll’s embryo he wasted.  Noll set those teams up on a tee for his successor. Cowher’s losses in those playoff games set the future tone. He also let those teams run rampant and disrespect opponents. He barely won the Seattle SB. Do you think he is HOF by a lot or a little?

I will get crucified for saying this but I don’t think Cowher should be in the HOF. He didn’t enough for me. I also don’t think Hines Ward should be in but that’s a different story for a different day

Paul, do you think the A AA and AAA managers are up to the task of correcting errors prospects are making but letting certain other individual characteristics go?  And do you know if these managers flipped and if so even who they are?  I feel so bad for Indianapolis the AAA affiliate of this 291/2 franchise!

I don’t think that is it, you just get to know people and it can be tough to be more critical on people you know and have relationships with. I think the guys that cover the teams for the most part are fair and do a good job.

Why do the Steelers seem obsessed with spending high draft picks on tall guys who “look” like corners instead of guys who can play corner whatever their size?

They have really whiffed in that department no doubt. But they have a certain prototype they are looking for - those guys just haven’t panned out
