With respect to replacing Tuitt does it really make sense to add a stop gap veteran on a one year deal? The Steelers, despite what they say, are not realistically competing for a championship this year. Wouldn't it be better to give more snaps to Loudermilk and Leal to hasten their development and find out what you have?

I think they will give all those guys opportunities but they still need depth. They need to add to that group

Hi Paul thanks for the chats! Interesting stat line for the Bucs as they are 1-11 vs the Cards and Brewers and 21-16 against everyone else. I like that they are starting to play the kids more and look forward to more call ups as there is no reason to play guys like Newman and Yoshi when they are not going to be around 2 yeqars from now.

I would say that is a welcome development. I don’t need to see any of these journeymen guys or washouts like Newman play ever again. Play the kids and move on

Well West Virginia’s guy was at USC before Georgia! I think Slovis proved he can be a very good player in the Pac 12

Hard to watch the Rangers win as I feel deep in my heart that if Trouba doesn't take out Sid and Rackell the Pens might still be playing. Is that sour grapes or any truth to that statement? Should the Pens try to sign an enforcer like Trouba or Reaves to protect our stars or has that ship sailed?

The Tuitt announcement was not shocking and it is nice the team has some resolution there finally.  How do they improve the DL and run defense now?  And will Bush be exposed again or do you think he'll show some improvement this season as he moves further away from his injury?  The middle of this defense just seems very weak and that's usually a really bad set up.

They have a few younger options at defensive line but they really need a veteran that can solidify that group. As for Bush, it is a hope and a prayer. I don’t think he is a very good football player but maybe he will prove us all wrong

Devin Bush said yesterday he has "nothing to prove" - is this guy out of his mind? Not only does he look like a bust, but talks like one too. Seems to be some large maturity and self-awareness issues with him.

Again, I have never thought he was a good player. I’ve thought he was an overrated freakish athlete guy with little instincts for the game. He also needs to grow up, that much is clear watching his social media accounts

My prediction on the Deshaun Watson thing in Cleveland is that its going to totally implode. There's just too many ingredients for a total disaster. How do you think it will work out in the long term for them?

I have read that people think that MT will be more powerful with the exit of KC.  I guess that we will be seeing a lot more Dustin Bush type of draft selections.  Your thoughts?

I don’t buy the idea he wasn’t already extremely powerful. The Rooney’s have always set it up so their coach carried a very large voice in personnel. And yes, he seems to favor those freakish athletes even if they can’t play a lick

If you were the Pirates, would you keep Quintana around like a Liriano type? If they are serious at competing at the major league level (maybe they aren't serious LOL), then keeping a guy like Quintana around for another year or 2 makes sense.

Had Diontae Johnson not melted down at the end of the year, I would have no problem inking him to a large deal. The fact that he regressed at the end of the year worries me. I would still try to sign him because he has some elite skills. Your thoughts?

If it is true that Dustin Johnson is getting 125 million just to play on new tour I don’t see how the PGA tour could not kick him off their tour.    If he was just playing a couple of events wouldn’t see need for complete ban but making such a commitment with a rival league I think changes dynamics.   What’s your thoughts?   Will you watch on YouTube next week?
