Welcome back! I’m back from vacation and ready to get back to business!!!

Do you think Bush will be 100% on opening day of the regular season?
Zeise
12:08
I think so. It seems like he is on schedule and on track to get back on time.

Paul... am I crazy to think if this line can hold up that #7 gonna be good.  I just think if you give this guy a running game ... which by all reports Najee will be good... I still think he’s got the goods.    I honestly think they can win 10-11 games.   Schedule is toughest part
Zeise
12:11
That’s not a crazy thought at all he is a good football player and if he has time to throw he will be fine. I look for him to have a decent year and the Steelers to be a playoff team
Chip Cache
12:11
Better odds: Pens reacquiring Fleury via trade or Pitt Football winning 8 games?
Zeise
12:12
This isn’t even close - there is less than five percent chance Fleury is coming to the Pens and I expect Pitt to win 9 games at least
Blair
12:12
Pitt football's over under for wins this year is 7. Which way are you betting and why? They've been so mediocre for so long it's hard to see them being over 7 IMO.
Zeise
12:13
As I’ve said repeatedly - if this is a 7-win season there needs to be hard questions asked about the program. This team needs to win games and beat all the teams they are supposed to beat

Hi Paul, Steeler Devin Bush's reputation was built on speed, not physical strength, letting him go sideline to sidelne.  If he has lost a step due to the knee injury, does he become just an average ILB?
Zeise
12:15
If he lost a step that’s a really bad development for him and the Steelers. His speed is his greatest asset

12:16
Do you know what the minimum MLB salary is for year three
12:17
For year three? I know one and two but cannot find anything for three.
Zeise
12:17
I think it is still in that $600 K range , maybe a little more

Hi Paul, I'm curious to hear your take on Simone Biles. To be clear, I fully support mental health awareness and her health is more important than any sport. That said, I do think that people on teams have a responsibility to their team. I'm not suggesting that she perform when she is injured or ill, but rather that a deep self examination would have allowed her team to have a full squad, with her position on the team perhaps going to another worthy, though less accomplished perhaps, gymnast to both compete and fulfill a life long ambition. Do athletes bear that responsibility in team sports, to try to foresee things that will prevent them from performing, be transparent and step aside for the sake of the team?

This discussion about this has brought out the stupidity on both sides of the discussion. The pressure got to her, she knew she didn’t have it mentally, she backed out for the good of her mental health. It is that simple.  And this need to turn her into some sort of hero or on the other side a quitter is silly. She did what athletes do all the time - she knew she wasn’t healthy and pulled out of the competition.

Hi Paul, Assuming Castro continues to hit, why shouldn't he be installed as a permanent starter and part of the new core rebuilding group (with Hayes and Reynolds), even though he is only 22?  I believe that the best players should play and "control" time should not factor in, especially when the organization trades away everyone before the big pay day.
Zeise
12:23
If he continues to hit like this then I think he will be the starter somewhere and they won’t be able to send him back. But I think we need to cool the jets on what he is because he has a long way to to go
Donna
12:23
Good afternoon Paul.  Are the Steelers still looking at any remaining free agents?  It’s my understanding 10 million or more is still available under the salary cap.  Thanks.
Zeise
12:26
Yes they do that better than anyone. They will continue to look for players, guys who get cut or are salary cap victims. I bet they will add another player or two
Bill
12:27
Will Justin C get drafted tonight Paul? I hope he does but I'm not seeing it.
Zeise
12:28
I have to imagine he had some assurances that he will be a second round guy in order to stay in the draft. I think he will be on a roster this year one way or another
Kyle
12:31
Castro already with 5 HR's and only 5 hits lol. He looks like a kid with a huge upside. Should I be worried Nutting and company will order him sent down to the minors for a long while because he's only 22. Rarely do we see kids that young playing mlb for the Pirates. They usually love to leep them buried in the minors not to waste their service time. Thoughts?
Zeise
12:34
Again, if the kid keeps hitting home runs at an alarming rate I can’t see a scenario where they try and justify sending him back.
Yuri
12:34
Hello Paul.  Do you anticipate Champagnie getting drafted tonight?  I think his draft stock would have been much higher if he had played another year at Pitt.
Zeise
12:37
Like I said it seems like he and his camp feel pretty confident that he is gonna get drafted at the very least in the second round. I think someone will grab him
Brian
12:37
Isn't it time to call Newman and Tucker busts? Cole Tucker can't hit his weight and really neither can Newman. Just horrible drafting by Huntington along with Kramer to boot.
Zeise
12:38
I don’t like to call guys busts but those two are headed in that direction. Tucker especially. Newman has had moments of competency but not nearly enough

Love to see WVU in ACC.
Anybody else to scavenger hunting?
Zeise
12:40
I think the Big 12 is now going to be raided for spare parts. College football will be better with four super conferences to be honest. It makes a lot of things a lot easier - like the playoffs for instance
12:41
Oh boy I see Rico is off his meds again and is currently screaming “Mom the Meatloaf” from his basement.....
Phil
12:41
Why would the Pens NOT be interested in Fleury? Our goaltending situation sucks now and Fleury would be a huge upgrade probably for at least 3 years. I don't understand why they don't want him.
Zeise
12:42
I think it is because the head coach is not a huge fan of the way he plays goalie and he will cost some money they aren’t sure they have under the cap. It would make sense in so many ways but it doesn’t seem to be happening
Paul
12:42
How important is having Kendrick Green become a bonafide NFL starter to this years Steeler team chances?
Zeise
12:44
I think it is very important because his upside and potential is so much higher than the other two guys. The other two guys are pluggers who are adequate, he has a chance to be a star

Best public course in area is Cranberry Highlands. What say you?
Zeise
12:47
There are a lot of great courses in Western Pa. Olde Stonewall is incredible, Cedarbrook is an incredible value, Seven Springs is really nice, Lenape Heights is a good track most people don’t know about and I grew up on Manor Valley and still love that course too

Are you as upset as I still am that Mr. Hand gave away all my pizza in class? He didn't even save me a slice!
Zeise
12:47
That was very rude of him, I mean all you wanted to as a little snack!

12:48
Hey Paul, do you think Fleury will play for the Blackhawks or retire?  Thanks.
