Well Craig Meyer would have that answer but in general this is where there will be a flurry of commitments so for Capel’s sake hopefully a few guys come his way

ESPN ranked all 120 college teams in terms of stability.   They ranked Pitt actually as #11 out of 120.   I know it’s not a BCS playoff spot or an ACC championship but fans need to give Narduzzi and Lyke credit for that.   Hopefully the wins will follow this season.

I think people need to slow down with Castro.  He is having a good start, but MLB pitchers and coaches have a way of adjusting to young / unknown players and then those players find out the hard way that the major league is not so easy.  I would not mind letting him play a couple more weeks than send him to AAA for the rest of the season. Let him be successful there and compete for the starting job next year.  Your thoughts?

You just never know and that’s why I was not on board with the idea of drafting a pitcher that high. Pitchers have so many variables and get injured. I believe you build with position players and when you are ready to win go get proven pitchers in free agency

If they don’t get into the ACC they are probably going to be stuck in whatever hybrid league is left over - like the American and Big 12 combined. But I think they have a lot to sell and one of the power leagues will take them

ACC TV deal is poor but lasts through 2035.  Any chance B10 and SEC start raiding the conference?  Syracuse, Pitt, BC, Va Tech and UVA would be good fits B10, rest to SEC?  (for the record I'd rather than B10 stay as is, and I sure as sh*t don't want them adding Iowa St and Kansas)  Fox would have to step up $$$ wise for B10 I suppose.

I think there is going to be a lot of movement and when the dust settles it will be four super conferences - what that looks like will be fascinating

I was at the Tuesday game vrs Brewers and the Pirate players looked very disinterested in playing.  They looked bored and tired.  I know they had a lot of upheaval before the game with the Anderson situation and they were just coming back from a west coast trip.  Do you get to interact with the players and get a sense of what their mental outlook is for playing right now?  I have to imagine that the long season, constant loosing and now uncertainty about trades is wearing on them.

We haven’t had as much interaction this year but it is a long grinding season so I’m sure every team fights through fatigue and mental focus issues

I wasn’t surprised - if he is still coming back from injuries they cut him and let him continue to rehab. I think he will definitely get another chance but he needs to get fully healthy

That’s a great question. But the Pens would be dumb to extend Malkin in my opinion
