Paul-Jimmy Franklin said several years ago that beating Pitt was like beating Akron and that PSU would dominate the state. Penn State may  have the better program (not sure) but do you think Pitt has the better team right now and if so, how is this even possible when PSU ranks much higher than Pitt in recruiting classes?

Can we all face facts ? There is zero talent in the entire Pirates organization. They will never finish above .500 again. Ever and if MLB was run properly the Pirates and A's would be contracted because they are killing the sport

Has the ship sailed on trying to trade for Roquan Smith? Bush AND Spillane look horrible and it was clear that their play was the main reason the Steelers got gauged defending the run. I know Smith's price tag is huge but the Steelers cannot afford to start the year with either Bush or Spillane starting next to Jack.

Why can't anyone in the media dig up dirt on Bob Nutting ? What did he know about Vasquez's behavior and did he try and cover it up ? Is there a racist, sexist, homophobic or xenophobic email or text messages that he sent that MLB can use ? Did he sexually harass some one ? Has he been embezzling billions ? Surely SOMEBODY can find something ? And if they can't can somebody make something up ?

Paul, I write this not to sound condescending, but how hard is it for a professional (#10 overall pick) to "learn" and become "proficient" in your job i.e. defending the run? I just don't understand the barriers.

Paul, I live in Miami, so Dennis Eckerskley's comments struck me as nothing more than a statement of the obvious. I was most surprised by Pittsburgh's reaction to the comments. Unfortunately, the media in Pittsburgh pushes this total ridiculous and false narrative of hope, with respect to the Pirates. Why does the local media protect Pirates ownership? They should be boycotted - the owner clearly values money over winning.

I have met Bob Nutting on several occasions. Have you spent time with him? Does he strike you as someone who understand sports? He looks/acts/talks like he played the flute in the orchestra and never stepped on an athletic field, if you know what I mean.
