Why would Pay Narduzzi make that statement about Matt Canada? Maybe it was the wrong decision by Canada to leave but leave the past to the past. Plus, the guy works next door now.

Sometimes guys just say things. Coaches get on a roll they have an audience they say dumb things. It happens all the time. I look at it more as a coach talking to a clinic and trying to get some laughs. He didn’t realize it was gonna go viral but everything does these days

Do you know if the Pirates are gonna have a different approach now with new mgmt in terms of bringing up a seemingly ready first round pick early? I shudder to think if someone like Acuna was on our organization. If he were he might still be in the minors.

I think something that has been overlooked in baseball is the possible lack of development of younger prospects. I'm talking about the younger guys that aren't at the alternate site. A guy like Quinn Priester is probably set back at least a year if not two.

A lot of people are concerned about that because many players aren’t getting the development they need. This is gonna probably be a season that sets teams back a year or two

Why do you always keep heaping praise on Narduzzi? Ron wrote an honest column and broke down Narduzzi's record and decision making. Neither are very good. His stupid comments on Canada just adds to this. It's been 5 years with the guy and he's a mediocre coach AT BEST. AT BEST. Why can't you see that and give some earned criticism of the guy. I definitely don't think he is the answer here. And he can't recruit on the offensive side of the ball.

I have heard that one of the issues with Polanco is that he may have been rushed to the majors.  That would feel weird to me as I always felt that the Pirates take too long to promote players.  I understand that I am a fan, and not an expert.  What is your take on this?

I don’t believe that for one second. His biggest issue is he just isn’t that good of a baseball player. Great athlete. Great talent. Just not a good baseball player
