Let’s get started

Hi Paul, I noticed the “Indian chop” song was played before the Chiefs vs. Texans game last week.  Do you know if the NFL received any complaints about this? Are Native Americans ok with it or could they be offended by it.  I know it’s not an easy subject to address, but I would appreciate your insight.  Thanks.
Zeise
12:14
From what I can tell the group that is most offended by that stuff are white limousine liberals. Seriously. Almost every survey I’ve seen native Americans overwhelmingly have no issues with it.

Hi, Paul. Any update on Wisniewski?
Zeise
12:15
Not yet today I’m sure later after practice the writers will know
Gino
12:15
Do you see the Steelers having any interest in Eric Reid if there is an injury in the secondary?  Thanks Paul.
Zeise
12:15
Doubtful. That’s not the route they usually go
Buster
12:16
Is the fake crowd noise as apparent on the field as it is on broadcasts?
Zeise
12:18
Probably not. I think it is rather lame to be honest but I’d imagine it is mic’d for the cameras
Carl
12:18
Paul, who are picking to win the US Open?  I heard Tiger say that the course and Oakmont are two of the toughest courses to play.
Zeise
12:19
I’m gonna go with DJ again. He is the best player and he is playing his best golf
Johnny
12:19
Did the refs make an error, as Ben objected, during that delay of game call on 3rd and one?
Krugerrand
12:22
Paul, if you're talking with Mr. Collier, could you please pass along my nomination for this years Trite Trophy: "Bell Cow."  Do you when this expression was first applied to running backs?  I don't recall hearing it before this year.  Nor am I sure why anybody would refer to a predominate running back as a cow that makes noise while meandering in a meadow so that the farmer can find his herd.  Thanks!
Zeise
12:24
Lol. That is an expression a lot of coaches use. Tomlin has all kinds of expressions that could win Collier’s award
Yuri
12:24
Hey Paul, has Dorien Ford decided where he’s going to play?
Zeise
12:25
His news conference is 7 pm tonight
fredward
12:25
Why was signing Hawkins treated like it was the Manhattan Project? Other news outlets said it right away, but the PPG said it wasn't a thing.
Zeise
12:26
Because it isn’t official until he passes a physical. So to be accurate he isn’t signed until he signs

12:26
Paul, why does the NFL insist that teams not dress 6 to 7 players every game?  Is it to force coaches to be shrewd with their logistical strategy?  It just seems like an antiquated rule that puts potentially more players in harms way if they have to play out of position or stay in a game hurt because said coach left a position thin.
Zeise
12:27
They don’t need more than 53 guys
DJ
12:27
So I’m off in about an hour, and feeling kind of anxious about everybody picking me this week. You having any second thoughts yourself?
Zeise
12:27
Nope. As I said DJ is the best player playing the best golf
Mark
12:27
Hi Paul.  I really don't care whose name goes on a player's helmet.  I just want to watch the game.  My understanding is that the Steelers put Mr. Rose's name on their helmet because they felt he was the victim of police brutality.  I take that to mean that they think the jury got it wrong and the cop was guilty.  Is that how you see it?  Thanks.
Zeise
12:29
No they see a tragedy when a young kid is shot in the back. And it is a local kid whose mom is trying to mend relations with cops and community
Barry J
12:32
Does the hype around the Cleveland Browns each off-season give you a good chuckle?  Also would Craig Mayer be a better option at QB than Baker Mayfield?
Zeise
12:33
Baker Mayfield looked awful last week. He just isn’t good enough. I will enjoy watching Joe Burrow our duel him tonight
Zaul Peise
12:38
is offensive line depth the biggest concern right now?
Zeise
12:40
Absolutely it is. That’s especially true if Stefan Wisniewski is out for any length of time
Muhsin Muhammad
12:40
What does Banner's injury mean for his long-term future with the Steelers? Still a potential starter with Okorafor?
Zeise
12:40
Well he better be or they will have a real problem. He is their starting right tackle
Mountain Gus

Hi Paul,  US Open golf going head-to-head with college and NFL football.  Will people watch?  Maybe if Tiger is n the mix?  Who do you like?
Zeise
12:49
Golf will do fine and won’t shock me if it  is close Sunday it will compete with NFL
Hogan
12:50
So I was surprised to hear that your colleague Gerry has not played Winged Foot. He appears to have connections. What’s the best and/ or most famous course The Paulster has played?
Zeise
12:51
The Ocean Course at Kiaweh Island South Carolina. It was amazing. Next year the PGA will be there

are the steelers going undefeated this year, ben is back and defense second to none, only weak link is the kicking game, but tomlin trumps that, the best coach of all time !!!!
Zeise
12:52
No. I’m standing by 9-7 or 8-8. It is long season

Two inconsequential questions to prove I'm using the correct name. Are there intra city bus trips that professional teams make, e.g, Pittsburgh to Cleveland, Washington to Baltimore (has to be, right?) Are there others, New York-Philadelphia maybe? And who are the most inappropriately nicknamed pre sports teams? I've got the Utah Jazz edging out the LA Lakers for the gold (they should swap nicknames) and the Memphis Grizzlies getting bronze. Any others?
Zeise
12:53
The Jazz are the most inappropriate because they were named when they were in New Orleans. As for bus question call Greyhound
Mercury

Do you have any idea when we might hear if there is an uptick in positive virus tests as a result of the first week’s play?
Zeise

Call Dr. Levine
