I think this defense will only get better as the season goes on.  Young guys like Bush and Fitz will continue to develop, and I'm not sure TJ and Bud have peaked yet.  Plus, w/ Tuitt back, the line should be an asset, not a concern.  Do you expect to see us dominate like we did in NY?  Also, are there any other teams' defense units you would take over the Steelers?

If the front 7 does what they did the other night every week it is going to be special. It was amazing watching Bud Dupree
Gene
12:57
Do you think  Claypole gets more targets this week
Zeise
12:58
Probably not. They are going to bring him along slowly. He looks pretty good though doesn’t he? Wow
Maurkice
12:59
Think those PFF guys noticed that I wasn’t that great last week? Man, I really don’t like those guys.
Zeise
12:59
Why can’t you snap consistently any more??? That’s my biggest question about you!!!
Nivek Morris

What do you think the Pirates should do with Polanco?
Zeise
12:59
Trade him for a bag of balls

or better yet - to quote Buddy Ryan about running back Earnest Jackson “trade him for  a 6 pack and it doesn’t even have to be cold”

D. Bush is not very good against the run, period.  Why doesn't anyone else notice this?  Total tackles is meaningless if they are 6-7 yds down field.  I want him to get better, but he shows no signs of better technique getting off blocks.  He's definitely the weakest link on D (maybe 2nd to T Edmunds).
Zeise
1:06
He is still young but I agree his game so far has been more sizzle than steak. He needs to improve in all areas but he is athletically a freak

Do you think Ben going around hugging everyone before the games is primarily for the tv cameras? Based on the team MVP voting over the years he isn’t particularly loved by teammates.
Zeise
1:06
Yes. It is always a show with him
TJ

Just wanted to give a shout out to K Colbert for selecting me in the draft. I more than make amends for that Jarvis Jones and other similar debacles. You concur I take it?
Zeise
1:08
Yes you are a helluva a player. But that doesn’t erase Jarvis Jones.....

If DeCastro and Wisniewski are out long term, would it make sense for the Steelers to pursue a rental?  This is assuming they can clear the cap space.  Would Washington take a #3 for Brandon Scherff, a pending free agent?  You see this kind of deal all the time in MLB and NHL.  Why not NFL?
Zeise
1:08
Well it all depends on Chuks Okarafor. If he is up to the job they will be fine

I'm not an Edmonds hater, but how long of a leash will he have before Davis possibly replaces him as the starter?
Zeise
1:09
I think he is bad. They need to get better at that position but I’m not sure they have a better optikn

Hey Paul, here’s a shoutout to Zach Banner.  You gotta love this guy for  making every effort to win a starting job and also for his positive attitude and determination to come back from his injury.
Zeise
1:10
Yeah I felt bad for him. That’s a tough break. He worked so hard to get back and then that happens. I hope he gets well and gets another opportunity

What is your gut telling you about who the starting 5 OL will be vs. Denver?
Zeise
1:11
Villanueva, Feiler, Pouncey, Okarafor, DeCastro

Who cares about golf? From an old joke, Hit the ball, drag Bing etc.
Zeise

I care and so do millions of others. Literally

Hi Paul, there has been a continuing discussion over whether a college football team can have two players with the same number, and even be on the field at the same time.  We saw two 3s on the field when Pitt played AP.  My theory is that the offense and the defense could each have the same number, and maybe both could be on special teams.  Could you please clear this up for us?
Zeise
1:12
They can have duplicate numbers they can not be on the field at the same time
Greg
1:12
What's your take on the artificial crowd? Do they hear the same fake noise inside the stadium?
Zeise
1:12
They do. As I said before, it is cheesy
Darnell
1:13
I thought Jeff Hathhorn and Rob King did a nice job filling in for Bill Hillgrove’s on the Pitt and Steelers games.  What did you think if you heard them?
Zeise
1:13
Both are excellent, professional. I loved both of their work and always have
Northside Jim
1:16
When do you think we will have a major league team representing the city of Pittsburgh?  There needs to be a salary floor in MLB
Zeise
1:17
With no salary cap it will be difficult to compete that’s for sure
Way Too Much Time on My Hands

Forget the bag of balls. The Pirates would probably trade Polanco for a single ball now, and not even a new one if someone would do the deal.
Zeise
1:18
True he is just not very good at baseball.
Thanks and let’s do it again next week
