IRA accounts (if with an option friendly broker) should let you trade options and spreads, Money Press trades, etc.  So everything we usually trade CAN be done in IRA accounts.  BUT . . . you can't use margin buying power in IRA accounts.  It can be a bit confusing.

If he's just trying to grab a couple day bounce, he mentioned he's wanting at least 30 days out in time.  Remember this is much different then a CrowBar or other directional trade where you might be looking to stay in the trade longer

The actual candlestick gets wider/thicker if the volume is higher.  This just makes the volume a little more visible on the candlesticks themselves

Duane, we usually roll out on Friday on the Money Press (not to be confused with an SOB).  The reason we roll out on Friday is because when we sell the next week's put we start the time decay clock and can make money off the time decay over the weekend.  So on a MP, we usually roll it on Friday.

Another novice ? If we are letting a short on a MP expire, when should we sell to close the long. Short will expire at the end of the trading day on that particular Friday of course.

They can be, yes.  Those are informative to help if you want to look at those stocks as potential trades or can help you manage a current position.  We don't trade all of them... in fact, very few, but they can give us great info to use

Yes there are ways to still use an IRA and get more flexible options.  In our Dallas event a year and a half ago we had a tax attorney come talk about it.  His website is IRAlawyer.com if you want more info.
