So you could roll it if the time value is almost gone, or you can wait if it seems like the stock might be bouncing a little bit intraday

Hey my friend!  Usually if it gets that far in the money the time value is most likely gone.  You can simply do the math... for example, 13 dollars in the money you know there is 13.00 of intrinsic value.  If the option is trading for 13.50 there is about .50 of time value

Coach Curti$:  On a sold put such as NVDA that expires today, will it experience time decay even if the underlining stock price is far away:  NVDA about 177, and our sold put is at 190.  Are we holding off on rolling until later in the day because of time decay or hopes of it rising?

Great question Rick... we want to buy the protection AFTER the earnings so the Implied Volatility helps us (Maggie discussed this) but if the stock really moves up or down we may need to adjust the strike price.  (Might not need to change the expiration date, just the strike)
