Don't think they really have the money to sign another backup--though I did have the thought the other day that Garret Sparks may be of interest there. He's on a cheap deal and the two teams have done a goalie deal in the past.

I will say yes, because that's what I thought will happen for a while. But Montreal has done some curious things over the past week and look poised to try something big.

I don't think they do, no. And even if they did, it wouldn't have anything to do with John Tavares other than the fact his contract puts the Maple Leafs in a tricky cap situation.
