Is the 2019 draft considered strong and deep?   Or limited?   It doesn’t make sense to acquire picks if the draft is weak.

But let's get something out of the way. Wayne Simmonds is not a game-changing name anymore. His even strength game has declined, and while he'd definitely be useful I think people are overstating his effectiveness.
He is not, for instance, anywhere near Stone in terms of an asset.

I don't think they're going to find a deal, because Ottawa thinks Ceci is better than he is.
They were looking at the Muzzin deal as a comparable when it happened.
That's way too much for Ceci.
