Hey folks, welcome to another live chat.
This should be a fun one.
I'll get started in just a few minutes.

Good evening, Gavin.  Rangers radio play by play man suggested that Grabner is likely going back to Toronto. Have you heard anything specific about Grabs?
Gavin Lee
6:22
Nothing specific about his landing spot yet, but I did see the Toronto mention too.
That doesn't seem like a fit for him at all though, unless another move is to follow for Toronto.

What's Anaheim going to do? Add some defensive depth? Scoring winger? Stand pat?
Gavin Lee
6:23
I think they might make another forward addition, but nothing big.
I'd be shocked if one of the big names ends up in Anaheim, but someone like Tomas Vanek could happen.

So are concussion spotters still a thing(Price incident) or has the league yet again quietly dropped away from something they themselves made a big deal about?
Gavin Lee
6:23
They're definitely still around, but right from the start they've been inconsistent with goaltenders.
6:24
You'll remember when Corey Crawford was knocked clean off his feet by a Shea Weber blast, and didn't leave the game.
Or when Jonathan Quick spent 10 seconds in the hallway after colliding with a Toronto player (Hyman?)
6:25
It's tough on the league because the goaltending position can so quickly change a game.
Making a skater, even a superstar, leave for a few shifts has a much lesser impact.

6:25
Can the Bruins really make a significant trade (Nash, Maroon or McDonough, etc..)without losing anyone from their NHL roster
Gavin Lee
6:26
They definitely have the assets to do it, though I'm sure many of the teams are asking for one of their young NHL forwards.
But there are other ways to get it done, especially someone like Maroon.

6:26
Where are the rangers trades??
Gavin Lee
6:26
They're coming, hold onto your hats.
Steve
6:26
Who else will the caps go after? They need an energy type forward with speed and another defenseman
Gavin Lee
6:26
They are in such a tight cap situation that they really might not be able to make a move.
6:27
It'll depend on if they can swap some salary out, but Grabner is certainly an option.
Divisional trade though.

do you think tanvev and vanek traded and for what do u like the gudbranson exstention
Gavin Lee
6:27
I don't think Tanev is moved until the offseason, if at all.
6:28
Vanek I'd bet on, though I thought Gudbranson would go as well.
I don't love that extension, but I actually do think there might be a bit more to his game that will come out.
He's been ravaged by injuries the last two years.
It'll be a bit pricey, but it's not too long or really debilitating to a rebuild.

Rumor that Nash and Grabner are not playing tonight
Gavin Lee
6:28
No rumor. They're out.
Rangers baby !
6:29
Do you see Nash and Grabner dealt tonight as they are being held out of the line up. What do you see a realistic return on these two ?
Gavin Lee
6:29
Who knows if they get dealt tonight, tomorrow or Monday.
But they are close.
Calvin Pickard
6:29
CALVIN. PICKARD.
Gavin Lee
6:29
As you were.

Jason Botterill was furious last week after the Sabres got dismantled by the Kings.  What do you think the returns will be for Kane and Pouliot when all said and done on Monday?
Gavin Lee
6:30
Pouliot won't get a ton.
I really think Boterill is waiting for Nash to get dealt so he can ask for that + one more piece.
