They tried to move Gaborik out at the deadline, and they'll try again this summer.

Last year Brown was a buyout candidate and he is again, but this time Marian is right there beside him.

I think they blame it on Quick's injury and avoid the fact that they haven't built a good enough forward group.

They could get a king's ransom for him, but they won't move him. Not yet at least.
The contracts don't start coming till after next year, and they'll wait until then to make a decision on the future of the team.
Those three rookies could be the start of something unstoppable up front in Toronto, and they'll try as hard as possible to hang onto it.

I think a lot of that depends on George McPhee.
If the Ducks can figure out a deal to protect their defensemen from the expansion draft, they'll have an easier time shopping on at the ENTRY draft.

If he holds strong, and threatens to take one, they'll have to settle for something smaller. Move him or Manson for something smaller, but still exceptional. A young forward with potential, or established guy on an expiring contract they can flip if they have to.

Teams are in such trouble on the back end that both will be worth a lot.

What kind of contracts do you expect for the Penguins upcoming RFAs? Schultz, Sheary, Rust, etc

Schultz is going to get paid. He'll get a deal like Shattenkirk's last one.
Sheary and Rust have a lot less leverage, as both wouldn't be as effective in other organizations.

Brayden McNabb would be my guess, but there is still so much movement to be done. They won't want to leave him exposed if they can help it.

I'd imagine they'll bring a vet in.
Going with those two seems like a recipe for disaster, as good as Murray has been.

There will be lots of goaltenders available, and with Murray still relatively cheap they can afford an established guy

There has been tons of chatter about playoff format recently, mostly because of the Metro/Atlantic split.
But I think they're going to keep it.
