Teams would normally be finessing their rosters to avoid expansion draft issues, but can't get the real value because of the COVID market.
So when the season is over, I expect a flurry of trades

I never really thought it was a bad decision to let him go, I just didn't like how they went about it.

Don't get me wrong, they will miss him at times
But if you think your young guys are ready, you have to make that move at some point.

But in short, I'm not really sure why he's been passed over
Because teams are intrigued enough to bring him to development camp

I don't think he's anywhere near a lock for the NHL, but the idea that he's not worth as much as some of the players picked in the sixth or seventh round is silly.

On Honka, remember that a player claimed on waivers needs to stay on your roster.

I don't really know why he drives more fascination from hockey fans than the other players on waivers, I guess just his high draft status and odd history in Dallas.
But Honka is no answer to a problem right now
As an example, I would have claimed Oliver Kylington 100 times ahead of Honka.

Everyone can see that there is the potential for a superstar there.

I think the obvious choice would be Jon Cooper
But also it kind of makes me laugh how Babcock has turned that into a "I don't want it, let someone else have it" instead of what it really is, that they would never hire him this time.
