The league is making determinations for postponement based on positive test results and how it could have spread
6:27
The Red Wings, if you believe their coach, likely were exposed from playing the Hurricanes.

Lankinen? Vanacek? Any future for these guys long term?
Gavin Lee
6:28
People forget because of Samsonov that Vanecek was picked 39th overall in 2014
6:29
He was a top, top prospect coming out of the Czech Republic
Just had some struggles in the minors for a while.
He put it together last season and now he's showing he can do it in the NHL
6:30
Barely 25 is not too old for a goalie prospect to emerge
With that in mind, Lankinen was a star in Finland before coming over
He's just a later bloomer
6:31
I don't have much confidence that he'll keep up a .935, but he certainly looks the part right now

When I watch college hockey it can fall into a cycle where teams are dumping the puck in and it gets cleared easily. It makes me, dare I say, appreciate the trapezoid.
Gavin Lee
6:31
There are certainly arguments for both at various levels
6:32
I'm not really pushing for it, but I don't think I would really mind removing it at the NHL level either

Whatever happened to the plans of reducing the size of the goaltender equipment?  Some of these guys are starting to look ridiculously bloated.  There was movement a few years back, but I never hear anything about it anymore.
Gavin Lee
6:32
You know, I have actually been thinking this myself this season.
It happened when I watched Ottawa's opener, against the Maple Leafs.
Matt Murray looked bigger than Fredrik Andersen.
6:33
They are the same height, but Murray is 60 lbs lighter than Andersen
And yet, bigger to the naked eye when padded up
I'm not sure what really happened, to be honest.
I remember many goaltenders were complaining about the new gear and how it increased the injury risk.
I'll look into it more.

Sad to see that Rossi won’t be playing this year. Big fan of this guy. What do you think he can do next year and what is his ceiling? Rossi and Kaprizov is pretty exciting
Gavin Lee
6:34
I don't really know how to project Rossi at this point, because I don't know what kind of training he'll be able to do.
6:35
Right now he's not even supposed to be exercising at all
His ceiling when drafted was as a true top-line center I believe.
Even though he's short, he's not tiny and he is already so good both ways
6:36
I hope everything goes right for him, I just hate to see this happen.

Do you see Sam Bennett developing into something more with a fresh start?  #4 overall, fresh start required? Who do you see as interested?
Gavin Lee
6:36
I don't think Bennett is going to suddenly become a second line center, no.
I do think he can perform better in a third-line role somewhere else
6:37
Interested? I'm sure a lot of teams have reached out
He's up for arbitration this summer as well, and unlike Dunn, Bennett's counting stats are very poor.
So he won't be in for a huge result, if he even elects it

Hard to see Detroit struggling help on the way next year? Seider and Raymond? How good can these guys be?
Gavin Lee
6:39
Seider is one of my favorite prospects, I think he is going to be a first-pairing player for a long time
An anchor for the Red Wings to build around.
Raymond has all the upside in the world too, and is the kind of offensive talent that can lift up his linemates
6:40
What I mean by that is he could play on a second line, with a centerman that isn't necessarily among the elite, and make it an outstanding unit.
