two questions for you: 1. Golden Knights can’t keep subban as their back up. Who is a good target for them?  2. Why aren’t the golden knights going harder after Barrie? Seems like a perfect fit for what they’re looking for

I do think they are one of the teams after Barrie, but Toronto has made it clear they want a defenseman back.

And they want a youngerish defenseman with term. Not something that Vegas has to sell
Unless you consider Jimmy Schuldt that, but it doesn't make a lot of sense if Toronto believes they can get into the playoffs. I don't think.

In terms of a backup, goalies are tough at the deadline. Cap hits are too high for many of the established ones.
