Maybe a depth guy at some point but mostly I'd be surprised if they made any big additions
Don't think they'll be in a position to, by the time the deadline rolls around

Bruins need to get a good return for DeBrusk, something to help them this year. This could be the year that the Bruins are on the outside looking in for the playoffs as it looks very much like they will have to get in as a wild card. What are your thoughts about a return for DeBrusk? Looks like a lot of teams interested in him.
Gavin Lee
6:17
There are a lot of teams interested, but I think that's like vultures hoping for an easy meal, not a bidding war
I think a lot of teams are hoping to get a talented player at a bargain bin price
6:18
Dreger, I think it was, said on the radio (yesterday?) that the Blues were offering that same Buchnevich package for Debrusk in the offseason, or at least something similar
That was a 2nd and Blais. And the Bruins turned it down, I guess.
I think they might not be so picky if it were offered now
6:19
I agree that they'll want a player back, and his contract likely means that has to happen for any contenders anyway

Can u see a tank for wright situation in Montreal? I think they are hosting the draft. Could they “tank” maybe get wright and be aggressive in free agency?
Gavin Lee
6:19
It has to be on their minds at this point.
6:20
The issue is that roster can't just be sold off
There are so many long-term deals to the valuable guys
Selling Ben Chiarot isn't exactly a tank
Even Toffoli still has two more years on his deal

Would D Strome net the hawks DeBrusk
Gavin Lee
6:21
I've actually thought about this one too, because if they believed Strome could fit as that second-line center and move Coyle to 3C or the wing, it would obviously make a ton of sense.
For Chicago though, I'm not sure it really does

Who's going to g take a chance on Evaded Kane?
Gavin Lee
6:22
Ha, Evaded Kane
6:23
There's going to be someone. I said that last week--teams have shown over and over to be willing to take a chance on a player with an off-ice history, as long as they're talented
And Kane, make no mistake, is extremely talented
6:24
My guess? He's sent somewhere with a veteran core, but it's through Arizona who gets a pick for retaining part of the deal.
Remember though that Kane has to approve everything--he has a no-trade clause that limits it to three teams
You can bet those are teams that would never be involved, so it's essentially a full no-trade

Do you see as mentioned by The Hockey Guy (in recent he mentioned your name and Hockey Rumors) that owners of Coyotes owners interested in moving to Houston due to building arena in Tempe as said due to closeness of airport.
Gavin Lee
6:26
I'm not really sure what the first part of this is referencing, but the report from this morning about Arizona and Houston has been denied flatly by both the Coyotes and the NHL
6:27
That doesn't mean there wasn't something there, but it didn't make sense to me when it surfaced today, and I couldn't get any conformation anywhere, which is why it didn't run on PHR
6:28
Overall for Arizona, I've always said that until I see some give from Bettman, I think they're staying.
He has worked so hard to keep them there, and now has an owner who (despite some potential flaws) has a lot of money and future money invested in the team
6:29
I don't think they're going anywhere
Not yet anyway

Detroit is so much fun to watch. Trending up???
Gavin Lee
6:29
I've been saying for a while..just be patient Red Wings fans
6:30
There is a storm brewing there
Gonna be a lot of fun for Red Wings fans, and a lot of stress for Atlantic Division fans
Sabres fan

now that levi has gotten off to a hot start and potrllo playing all the time at michigan. update us on your thoughts of their nhl long term potential. thank you
Gavin Lee
6:31
I think fans should slow down a bit on Levi. I know it's exciting, but there is a long, long road before he's an NHL starter.
For one thing, he's small, so he's going to face more challenges than a bigger goalie.
6:32
He's also not even going to turn 20 until later this month
