For Thornton, if he wanted to go back to San Jose they would be interested
But it's not like last summer. Thornton wants to win if he's coming back

What’s to make of Josh Anderson’s long term deal. Big fan of his when he was with CBJ, but that was a sizable commitment? Domi only signed through his RFA years with Columbus.

You're not actually getting any excess value even if everything goes right
I like the player just fine, I hope he'll be back to the explosive, hunt-you-down powerforward he once was

Yes, he asked to be traded there because of a family matter that was going on at the time. He didn't even really want to leave the Islanders

I have no information on whether that matter has been resolved, but there has been chatter about his name in several eastern cities so I have to go on that.

I certainly think they will add a left-handed defenseman to replace the outgoing Krug (although, I'm still one who believes Matt Grzelcyk can take on some of that responsibility)
I said earlier I don't think the OEL deal gets done

We had Erik Gustafsson going to Boston and I still think that's a possibility, though they'll check in with others as well

It would probably just be a straight salary dump. I don't think there would be a really big sweetener
It's just one year and he only actually makes $4.25 this season
