I'm almost positive they'll make another addition like the Stastny trade last year.
Getting another experienced (but not too old) center to give them some depth down the middle.

Do the ducks deal Silfverberg in season? If so, for who? What do you see their targets being?
Gavin Lee
6:41
I've thought all year that he'd be on the move, yes.
6:42
I would imagine he fetches something similar to the Grabner trade last year.
6:43
Which was a 2nd and a low prospect, if I'm not mistaken.

Is it time for the Coyotes to join the Jack Hughes sweepstakes? I hate hoping for a loss and refuse to pull against the ‘Yotes but the playoffs feel completely unattainable.
Gavin Lee
6:43
Honestly I'm not sure how they'll get there now, but more than the Hughes sweepstakes the Coyotes need to see some development from these young players.
Someone needs to take a step forward and show that they're part of the solution.
6:44
I mean they have a single player that has 10 or more goals.
And it's Brad Richardson.
6:45
That's absolutely unacceptable from a team that was supposed to be building up all this skill.
Bill
6:46
How big a player will Bruins be before or on trade deadline?
Gavin Lee
6:46
They'll add, but I've said all along that I'm not sure if there is an appetite to go for the big fish this time around.
The Panarin or Stone, etc.
Elwood
6:47
What'd you think of Jim Lites' pep talk?
Gavin Lee
6:47
I thought it was one of the most stunning pieces of hockey media I've ever read.
If he had voiced these opinions in private and hadn't gotten results, then I can understand why he was mad and made it public.
6:48
But if this blindsided the player and front office, it's unacceptable.
Teal
6:49
Should the sharks trade Braun for a forward?
Gavin Lee
6:49
They'll have to trade from their roster if they really want to make an upgrade, because they're running out of draft picks to send.
6:50
Braun makes some sense, though I'd be wary of taking too many pieces off that blue line at this deadline.
Durych
6:50
OEL is not playing up to his standards and needs to play better. Schmaltz has looked good in his limited games this far. Injuries have also killed the Coyotes.
Gavin Lee
6:50
Injuries definitely have, but it's been more than that.
Durych
6:51
Keller has been a real disappointment this year, I really had high hopes for the kid, and though he is leading the team in points, he has been for the most part unimpressive with a a few flashes of brilliance here and there.
Gavin Lee
6:51
I defended him in a recent chat, and still think he'll be fine.
But it's tough to keep saying that when it just continues.
6:52
16 even strength points in 40 games is just not good enough if he is to really be their leader.
But boy, you still stand up when he touches the puck don't you?

6:53
What should/can the Hurricanes do?  Is there a trade out there that makes sense for them?
Gavin Lee
6:53
I'm really not sure how they haven't found an acceptable trade for one of their defensemen at this point.
6:54
You can want to build out from the blue line all you want, but at some point someone has to realize that they need to put the puck in the net.
Is there really no buyers for Justin Faulk? Trevor van Riemsdyk?
6:55
I know they don't want to just sell them for futures, but at some point you're just watching assets expire.
Patrik
6:56
Any concerns about Jack Hughes’ size in the NHL?  Is Kappo Kaako the safer bet?
Gavin Lee
6:56
There are concerns, sure. But he's still my easy number 1.
6:57
Kakko is going to be a great player, but there is no way I'm giving up my chance for Hughes to change my franchise.
Andre
6:58
Do you see Lee, Eberle and Nelson resigning with Isles?  Who stays and who goes?
Gavin Lee
6:59
I would be floored if Lee doesn't stay
They've had talks with Nelson already
