Hello and welcome to another live chat!
I'll get things started in a few minutes.

Hiya who do you think will make it to Stanley cup and who do you think will win it?
Gavin Lee
6:03
The Bruins aren't going to give up a 3 game lead, so they're going in from the East.
I don't think anything is decided in the west yet but I'd pick the Sharks at this point.
Sharks-Bruins is an extremely interesting series, but I think I'd have to give Boston the edge because of how well Tuukka is playing.

Hawks fan here, any actual chance of landing a premiere forward/top 4 defenseman? I’ll hang up n listen
Gavin Lee
6:04
In the draft?
I love Bowen Byram, and think he's got top-4 all over him.
6:05
Turcotte, Dach, Krebs, Cozens, etc could all be top forwards too if they pan out
If you mean free agency, sure they could go after someone like Panarin or Duchene too (though I don't think they will).
6:06
That team has a nice little group building with DeBrincat/Strome
If some of those defense prospects work out (Jokiharju, Boqvist, Beaudin, etc) they will be right back in the playoffs before you know it

Which capitals free agent are most likely to resign with the team?
Gavin Lee
6:07
In terms of the UFA forwards I have to believe all three are gone.
They would love to keep Connolly but he's going to get priced out
6:08
Their RFAs? they'll definitely keep Vrana obviously. He's the priority this summer
Burakovsky is an interesting one to watch because if he gets much more than he makes right now he's probably too expensive to retain
They've considered moving him before and would have to again.
Jaskin I'm not sure will get qualified.
6:09
Big questions for the Capitals this offseason are Backstrom and Holtby, whether they extend them right away
Elwood
6:09
You think the Avs would be cool with Pavel Francouz backing up Grubauer?
Gavin Lee
6:10
I'm not sure if they would, though I do like Francouz.
This team is ready to compete
I could see them adding a veteran option, they have hardly anyone under contract right now.

6:12
Are there any obvious top six forward candidates the Avs could use their draft capital/prospects to trade for?
Gavin Lee
6:12
When it comes to targets for the Avalanche, it's important to remember how much they value speed.
6:13
You have to wonder if a guy like Kasperi Kapanen in Toronto would be of interest if the Maple Leafs get into as much cap trouble as some think they will.
But whether they'd want draft/prospects for him, probably not.
6:14
If the Jets have to move out salary too, Nik Ehlers would be of interest I'm sure. Mathieu Perreault is likely on the block too.
Lots will be written this summer about Tyler Toffoli, though I'm not sure he's the best fit.
6:15
Alex Wennberg will probably be on the block if the Avalanche or someone else believe they can get him back to that high level he showed a few years ago.
6:16
There's stuff out there. The Avalanche have an exciting summer ahead of them

Are there any recent trades that have turned out like Colorado/Ottawa trades with draft picks? A team who makes it into the playoffs and has a top-5 pick in next years draft
Gavin Lee
6:16
Just off the top of my head, there is the Phil Kessel Boston-Toronto trade
6:17
Where they got Seguin
6:18
They won the cup the next year so...Avs fans look out.

If your dubas do you sign someone like panarin if marner wants to much then take the 4 firsts and turn it into a top 4 d man
Gavin Lee
6:20
Okay let's break this down. The "four firsts" thing isn't going to happen, I don't believe.
No one is going to pay Marner so much that Toronto won't match, while also giving up four first round picks.
