I'd be betting that he cracks 30 goals and 70 points this season, and can ask for even more on his next deal.
Shawn

Do you think Nyquist will accept being traded sooner rather than later if Z doesn’t return?
Gavin Lee
6:46
I'm not sure it is tied to Zetterberg exactly, but Detroit is probably going to have to move some money and Nyquist would be an easy candidate if he's willing.
EJ

Any thoughts on where Faulk and Skinner end up? Would love to see a top 6 center coming to Carolina when all is said and done.
Gavin Lee
6:47
Unfortunately top six centers aren't very available.
Everyone wants them
The best you usually get in trade is players like Galchenyuk/Drouin/etc that COULD be centers.
6:48
I still have to think that San Jose is interested in Skinner, and Faulk still seems like a perfect fit for Toronto
6:49
Things have quieted down considerably though
EJ
6:49
Do you think the Canes will be able to sign Adam Fox? Haven't heard a whole lot about where things are at.
Gavin Lee
6:49
The last that was said was that the Flames made a pitch right before the trade and were turned down.
I do think he'll eventually sign, but that was certainly part of the risk for Carolina
6:50
I don't think they have an agreement or anything.
Harvard players are notoriously loyal (which is understandable) and we could easily see him play all four years before making a decision.

I agree with you that Galchenyuk playing wing on the first line with Keller and Stepan would be best for the team. At the same time I think Chayka and Tocchet want to give Galchenyuk every opportunity to succeed at center and I feel he starts the year there.
A line of  Galchenyuk/Stepan/Keller would be a very good line not just for the Coyotes but in the NHL as well.
Don’t know if you can tell but There is a lot of optimism about the upcoming Coyotes season. Most there has been in a while, though there are still several doubters out there. Don’t get me wrong they aren’t Cup contenders but I could see a possible wildcard team. What is your evaluation?
Gavin Lee
6:51
That's the line I'd start with up front, but I agree they might give Galchenyuk a chance in the middle.
6:52
As for an evaluation, the Coyotes are a definite playoff contender for next year.
The tough part will be that they play in the Pacific.
Edmonton is bound to be better, and Calgary probably puts together a better season too
6:53
San Jose should still be a Cup contender, and I'm finished projecting the Golden Knights
I really like the group they're building in Arizona though, even if that Stepan/Raanta deal was tough to swallow at the time.
Tj
6:53
Kings gonna trade to get more scoring up front in fowards
Gavin Lee
6:54
They certainly want to, but they don't have a lot of cap space.
Adding Phaneuf, even at his reduced salary, probably comes back to bite them.

You just responded that top 6 centers aren’t available, does that make Frans Nielsen a more attractive trade candidate, or is his contract still too bad.
Gavin Lee
6:55
If you're going after Frans Nielsen as a top-six upgrade, you're in trouble.
His contract is bad, really bad.
Calvin Pickard
6:56
CALVIN. PICKARD.
Gavin Lee
6:56
There he is.

Who has more points for the blues, O’Reilly or Schenn?
Gavin Lee
6:56
Now that's an interesting one.
6:57
Schenn is the easy answer, but there really might be a big season in O'Reilly if the Blues don't kill him with defensive minutes like the Sabres did
He was POUNDED with hard matchups and zone starts in Buffalo.
And had little help on his wings
6:58
He could find some real success this season in St. Louis--though, I still like the trade for Buffalo too.
That guy
6:58
Did the blues do enough to get over the hump this offseason? Or is jake Allen still the key factor to their success?
Gavin Lee
6:58
You've got it.
They took a real step backwards by replacing Hutton with Johnson
