Vegas I guess? They're the only team that finished with 109.
6:32
I don't think they lead the Pacific again, I'll say that much.
But I'm done betting against Gerard Gallant and this group.

Where can we go to get some much needed help on the blue line?
Gavin Lee
6:33
Wait for Ty Smith and Bode Wilde to develop.
6:35
Honestly trading for any help right now would only weaken the future for the Islanders, which actually looks to be pretty strong even without Tavares in the mix.
6:36
I mean Noah Dobson. Whoops.
Not sure why Smith is on my mind.

6:37
Who has the best and worst farm system?
Gavin Lee
6:38
It would take a lot of detailed work for me to rank them properly, but Corey Pronman of The Athletic is currently releasing his rankings team by team.
He has Washington at the very bottom, and I can't really disagree with that.
6:40
As for some that should be near the top? Just off the top of my head...Islanders, Sabres, Canucks
6:41
Vegas has some really high end talent coming.

Thoughts on Larkin’s contract?
Gavin Lee
6:42
It's right where I figured it would be.
His point totals weren't great through the first part, but he's at center now and had a good year.
It's not a ton of excess value, I probably would have gone with a bridge deal.
But it won't kill them either.

Earlier in summer was rumored the Wild were looking at Fla. Bjugstad, wondering if you heard anymore and what the Wild would need to give up for a big center
Gavin Lee
6:45
Was there actually a rumor about that? Or did people just assume because he's from Minnesota.
I remember things about Vancouver, Montreal and Winnipeg..but I don't even think they were legitimate reports.
6:46
Either way, no I haven't heard anything between the two sides directly.
To get centers you need to give up either stud defensmen, or big prospects.
6:47
So, Dumba or Kunin I'd guess.
(not necessarily for Bjugstad, but for a top center)

6:47
With Crosby, Malkin, Brassard, and Sheahan up the middle,  what is the Penguins plans for Matt Cullen?
Gavin Lee
6:47
Sheahan and Brassard have both shown they can play wing, and it's not like you are forced to clear room for Cullen every night.
6:48
If he plays 50-60 games you're probably happy and winning
Having too many centers is rarely a problem.

Any teams you think could slip in the playoffs this year, like how Avs did last season?
Gavin Lee
6:48
Buffalo will be a bubble team for sure, and I would bet on Edmonton and Calgary both pushing for spots again.
6:49
As much as people may laugh I don't think Montreal is going to be quite as bad as some think.
We've been waiting on Carolina for years.
Lots of parity in the NHL. Any team can miss, and any team can make it.

We have seen defensemen like Ian Cole, Justin Shultz, and Jamie Oleksiak find their game in Pittsburgh, do you think Jack Johnson can follow suit?
Gavin Lee
6:52
Age when playing first game for Pittsburgh:

Ian Cole: 26
Justin Schultz: 25
Jamie Oleksiak: 25 (his birthday!)
Jack Johnson: 31
The other three were highly touted guys who hadn't found their game yet.
6:53
Johnson is a guy who was excellent, and has taken real steps backwards.
I think he'll be a fine player (as in bottom pairing), but not reach new heights.

What would you guess the next contract signed by Mikko Rantanen looks like?
