What do you see happening to Conner and JuJu upon their return? Will JuJu go back to the slot receiver role he excelled in last year? Will Conner go back to Bell Cow status or will they continue to do running back by committee??? Whyte looked good in the touches he has had so far so I definitely want to see him continue to get touches and I LOVE BENNY SNELL FOOTBALL!!! lol
Steelers Man
12:01
Im a little nervous about it and here is why - this offense seems to have finally developed a little chemistry and are just sort of all falling into their roles. And now you are adding two players back in and both are starters so everyone else will get bumped down in the pecking order. I just hope it doesn’t upset the Apple cart too much. I’d expect both Conner and JuJu will go back to their normal roles and I don’t know if that is good or bad.

What percentages would you give to the improved play in defense based on the following categories
:
What percentage you you give to the improved play on defense based on the following categories: coaching, talent acquisition(Minkah)... Thanks I'll hang up and listen....
Steelers Man
12:04
Talent acquisition. The coaching is the same. I get a kick out of people trying to give Mike Tomlin all this credit for fixing the defense because “he took it over”. Well he took it over down the stretch the last two seasons too and guess what, they still sucked. The additions of Nelson, Barron, Bush and Fitzpatrick have a helluva lot more to do with the improved defense than anything else and anyone who tells you differently is just looking to create a narrative.
Tom
12:04
Even the San Fran defense isn't good when the offense tries to get in a shoot-out. All it does is tirn the game into who has the ball last as we know well with the past few years. Would our defense be as good this year if Ben was playing?
Steelers Man
12:06
They wouldn’t be for two reasons - the offense would score more and there would be more possessions per game and more possessions mean more chances for the defense to give up plays. And Ben would force more stuff and turn the ball over more and that would put the defense on the field more, too.

12:07
Both have been awesome, but, which has been more impressive to you; this draft class with finding a more than serviceable running back, an awesome receiving talent from Toledo AND the CORRECT Devin OR the immediate impact Minkah has made on this team?
Steelers Man
12:10
The trade for Fitzpatrick is shaping up to be one of the best moves in Steelers history. So there is no comparison. The Steelers ability to find diamonds in the rough is impressive but sometimes going to get great players is underrated. Fitzpatrick is a star they knew he was a star and they went and got him.

Be an optimist for a moment. This team is limited, but very scrappy and fun to watch. What is their maximum potential? Sending someone home in the divisional round? Scaring a top AFC team?
Steelers Man
12:20
Wait are you suggesting I’m not an optimist?? 🤣🤣 I think with the defense they play, the fact that the offense can make enough plays to win this team could win a few playoff games but matchups are important: if they are the 6 seed and the Chiefs are the 3 seed I just don’t see them winning in Kansas City if Mahomes is healthy. If they get to the 5 seed or the Texans get to the 3 seed and Steelers are six, I like the Steelers chances in Houston. I don’t like their chances in New England though and believe it or not I do like their chances in Baltimore. So I guess if they have to play KC or NE I say there is no chance but against anyone else I like their chances

This week we had a chance to see Eli start probably his last game for the Giants, some people still think he doesn't reach the Hall despite two rings over ARGUABLY the greatest QB of all time in the Super Bowl. It seems not all that long ago there were still foolish people who believed Big ben was not a Hall of Fame Caliber QB either. Tell me, are people that don't give Ben his credit just haters, or did I miss something over the last 16 seasons? In my opinion, Ben is a sure fire hall of fame without any debate!

What do players that come to the Steelers from elsewhere say about our organization and fans compared to where they came from?
Steelers Man
12:23
Outside of the two prodigal sons (Brown and Bell) and a couple of their numb skull buddies like Josh Harris, I’ve never heard a player say anything bad about playing for the Steelers and even that trio will concede that the Steelers fans are among the best in any sport anywhere
J from Findlay
12:24
I have heard and always believed, the mark of a Hall of Famer is, if a person cannot tell the "story" of football without mentioning the skills of a given a player, then, that player IS a Hall of Famer! I ask this, how can anyone speak of the wideout position in the last 20 years without speaking about Hines Ward???????? This guy had a skill set so unique, he was LITERALLY feared by defensive backs across the league!
Steelers Man
12:27
OK you have two Hall or Fame questions so I’ll answer both here. First there are a lot of guys you can’t write the history of football without who are not Hall of Famers. So that is a silly standard. Hines Ward was a great player he isn’t a Hall or Famer. He was never the best receiver in football and usually wasn’t close and often wasn’t even the best receiver on his own team. Great player, not a Hall or Famer. I think most reasonable people understand Ben is a Hall of Famer. There are plenty of extremists who say dumb things but reasonable people understand what Ben has done
Franco
12:29
A lot of debate on weather or not we resign Bud Dupree. At first i thought that we would not because the Steelers historically don't shell out big money to retain guys like that . BUT....with the Evolution of Lamar Jackson in Baltimore and Baker being in Cleveland in addition to us losing Ben in  a few years, wouldn't it be a MUST to keep this defense in tact. You always want to build teams to win you division and having a defense that can stop lamar would be our best bet...
Steelers Man
12:31
I’ve come full circle on this - Bud Dupree has to be the top priority for the Steelers this off-season. This is a defense predicated on pressure and he has developed into a high level pass rusher.
J from Findlay
12:31
Both have been awesome, but which has been impressive to you; Boswell's season or Tomlin's season?
Steelers Man
12:33
Tomlin is having the best season of any Steelers personnel except for maybe Burt Lauten, who is the real brains of that operation! chris Boswell has been excellent but it is no different than what he did two years ago. What Tomlin has done is incredible

Hello.  I hate to even bring this up but I read about AB tweeting again yesterday.  However I didn't see anything about in PPG or ESPN or most everywhere else.  Do you think everyone is finally bored with him and the attention he seeks will fade away?
Steelers Man
12:35
Yes. I used to be mildly amusing. It used to be interesting. Now it is just pathetic.

1) If they win Sunday, does 1 more victory secure a playoff spot?
2) Do you see this D getting to 60 sacks by the end of the year?
3) Do you see any chance this staff opening up the Offense?
Steelers Man
12:35
1) I said 10-6 is what it will take so no one more win wouldn’t do it
12:36
2) Yes this defense will have some good chances at sacks the next two games
12:37
3) I think they have a little but at a time opener it up so m answer is yes, I think they will continue to allow Hodges to open it up each week as he gains their trust

If the Steelers make it inti the playoffs, would you say that the offense will have to generate more than one TD per game, given the better teams they would be facing?
Steelers Man
12:40
I think that it would be hard to win in the playoffs with an offense that can’t a score. And better teams are likely to not turn the ball over a bunch of times so the Steelers aren’t gonna benefit from short fields. The offense will have to be a little more potent

If Mason ever gets back on the field, they should make him wear a real chin strap. The old fashioned one he wears probably contributed to getting knocked out (hit on the chin) against Baltimore and a better one might have helped keep his helmet on in the Browns game. What say you?

Why not play 4 wide with Washington, Juju, DJ, and Cain, put Whyte in the backfield and run out of the spread instead of the 2 TE / extra tackle formation.    It creates space for a speed back.
Steelers Man
12:42
I think they like to have maximum run protection and they don’t want to throw too many formations at Hodges. They are building on what he knows every game so
12:43
we may see some of that but in general they have tried to keep it simple

Ben looks tubby on the sideline. Is he staying in shape?
Steelers Man

He has never been a model of fitness but when the lights are on he is always ready to play
Emilio
12:48
Would you trade Tuitt and use his money to keep Dupree? The defense is pretty good without him.
Steelers Man
12:50
I would look at some other options to sign Dupree before going to that extreme. I think the Steelers have proven they are capable of managing the cap without having to do a lot of that stuff like trade good players to make room.
Emilio

Tomlin took over the defense but it seems that until Austen arrived, miscommunication stopped, it was not that our dbs were being beaten, they were not there to begin bwith because of miscommunication, do you really believe the defensive coaching  staff is the same and Austen had no influence?

Hodges is known as "Duck" because he hunts them... not because he is one... So the people in the stands are saying...?

Based on production shouldn't Whyte be the starter or at least the #1 back-up?

Seems like this season Tomlin has been more patient with players when turn the ball over (ala Benny Snell fumble) used to be they end up in his "doghouse" and hardly see the field for a while. Have u noticed that change?

Was Berry the only person watching the game who didn't see every other player waving their hands communicating something? Even I knew something was up.

I am a little nervous myself and I like the direction the offense is headed as well. Hopefully they will be good team players and accept whatever role is given to them that is for the good of the team! They don't strike me as DIVA PLAYERS who will gripe and complain about touches, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

Minkah has made a huge impact in my opinion and not just because if the INTs and fumble recoveries he’s had.  I think his presence gives the other DBs a level of confidence that he’s back there and can stop big plays.  You don’t see their DBs playing off nearly as much as you did last year.  Is that right or am I missing something?

Do the Steelers have a new plan to make 3rd or 4th down and 1?  They are horrible with these nonsense sweeps and laterals..must be worst in NFL.

How does filming another team's sideline document anything about your scouting dept other than they cheat? Oh well if your boss is named Belacheat I guess it's ok.

with how TJ and Bud have combined for a dynamic pair, the thoughts earlier this season was: need to resign JuJu and probably won't have enough to keep Bud.  With the emergence of DJ and JW in WR corps, had anything thought: let's sign Bud, and if we can't sign JuJu, just draft another receiver (which we seem very good at)?

I’ve seen people who said Swann shouldn’t be in the HOF, which I think is ridiculous.  Is there anyone who is in the HOF in your estimation that shouldn’t be?  Other than Joe Namath?

Mason and Duck sit on the bench a lot when the offense is off the field. Ben is mostly standing with the coaches and cheering players throughout his career. Is being involved an old school football tradition?
