I would get rid of it, but they kind of need gimmicky stuff on offense in order to move the ball.

Are we likely to lose B.J. Finney to FA?  Why has he not been signed since Foster is not as good a run blocker?
Steelers insider
2:31
Finney will be an unrestricted free agent so he'll have a chance to be a starter and make starter-like money somewhere next season. I doubt it's with the Steelers. Like yoou said, they had a chance to sign him last offseason and decided to re-sign Foster. I think they'll cut Foster because he's clearly at the end of the line, but I'm nit sure Finney is their next starter.

Great chats regardless of who we are talking to!  Later in the game I saw Bud and TJ playing more in the middle, was this design to stop the run game?  I didn't think the D performed too badly given there was only one long drive.  Thanks

I don't think they wanted Josh Allen to scramble. So when you rush an athletic OLB up the middle it takes away one of his escape lanes. Cam Heyward did a good job of chasing him down on a few occasions, but they were just switching it up against a young QB that likes to run.

Nobody accused Duck of having a cannon, but it really looked weak Sunday night. He seemed to be throwing off his back foot and trying to place the ball rather then slinging it. Was this a direct result of the pressure he felt all evening?
Steelers insider
2:34
The pressure he faced certainly didn't help matters. He was running for his life a lot of the times.

Hi Insider - was it continued degradation of the Oline play or Bills D coordinator outscheming Randy F that made it look like a jail break on most passing plays on Sunday night?
Steelers insider
2:36
Some Steelers players said they saw blitzes they didn't expect. So chalk that up to good coaching by the Bills and maybe a poor job of adjusting by the Steelers. I guess you can call that outscheming. The offensive line didn't play well, and Tomlin indicated today the blitz pickups by the RBs played a role in the pressure as well.

2:37
Hi Insider - what do you know about the skillset of the newly promoted WR?
Steelers insider
2:38
Darboh has some skill. Tomlin said today he has more upside than Tevin Jones, whom they cut to promote Darboh.

Hi Insider - does Terrell Edmunds play bc they have no one better or is he somehow doing exactly what the scheme calls for? It seems like he is always a step late in coverage and rarely if ever makes a play.
Steelers insider
2:39
Do you want Jordan Dangerfield playing instead of him? Kameron Kelly? Those are the options. Edmunds is a first-round pick. They're not going to give up on him in Year 2. They have to hope he comes around and becomes a better player. It's as simple as that.

Did the Steelers dress 5 RBs and leave themselves thin on the D-Line against a physical run-heavy team just for the feel good story of the three Edmunds brothers playing in the game?

Along similar lines, I still think they drafted Edmunds at 28 when they could have traded down at least 10 picks and still gotten him, just to let Shazier walk to the podium.
Steelers insider
2:42
I hope that wasn't a consideration. They've had trouble defending the run for most of the year. I'm not sure Isaiah Buggs would have made a huge difference in there if he had 5-6 snaps.

Conner's blitz pickup was horrible Sunday night.  Did that limit his playing time?
Steelers insider
2:43
I don't think so. He seemed to be out there a lot in passing situations.

The O line was overwhelmed by the Bills defense and it seemed the Bills knew how to attack the Steelers protection. Did Tomlin address this and were the Steelers outcoached or was this another bad outing for our old, underachieving O line?
Steelers insider
2:44
Maybe I read into it the wrong way, but Tomlin seemed to say the RBs where at fault for a lot of those pressures.

In your opinion, Is Edmonds going to be a Bud Dupree (comes into his own in a few years) or an Artie Burns (still waiting to see first round potential)?
Steelers insider
2:44
Yikes. For their sake, he better not be another Artie Burns.
Please get healthy Ben

Hi, Ray thanks for the chat. So, has duck mania finally came back to life? It was a good story, however, there’s a reason he wasn’t drafted, and CUT by the Steelers. Anyways, with our offensive line getting manhandled, do you think we go there in the first round next year?
Steelers insider
2:46
They don't have a No. 1 pick because of the Minkah Fitzpatrick trade. They have a second-rounder, likely a third-round comp pick and two fourth-round picks in addition to some other late-round picks. I assume they'll use one of their first two picks on an offensive lineman. They need an infusion of youth and talent there.

Pouncey is ranked 36th out of 36 qualifying centers by Pro Football Focus. In other words, he is worse than many backup centers in the league.  Considering he can't snap the ball or block anybody, why is he on the roster?
Steelers insider
2:48
They just signed him to a new contract last spring. It would be quite costly to cut him now. If they had any doubts about his ability they wouldn't have re-signed him. And obviously they didn't because they gave him a lot of money.

Is Feiler as fast as he looked running down a DB on that interception return?
Steelers insider
2:49
Overlooked play. He saved a TD. The Bills had to settle for a FG. Would have been huge if the Steelers had won.

If you had to guess at this stage of the game, what percentage would you put on Ben Roethlisberger successfully coming back next year? I guess I'm pessimistic, but I'm thinking about 25% chance. I just don't feel very confident about it.
Steelers insider
2:49
I fully expect him to come back. I have no reason to doubt anything I've been told about the recovery.

With the salary cap expected to rise at least $8 million next year, and with AB's salary coming off the books, will there be enough money in the bank to re-sign, or at least franchise, Dupree?
Steelers insider
2:50
They'd have to cut some other players to get Dupree in under the cap.
About the OL
2:50
Who on the OL is the best at run blocking?  Tough choice I know.
Steelers insider
2:50
Probably DeCastro.

2:51
Percentage chance of making the playoffs with 2 games remaining?
Steelers insider
2:52
I think fivethirtyeight.com has the Steelers with a 42 % chance of making it. Win both and they're in. Win one, and they have to hope the Titans lose to the Texans in the regular-season finale Those are the two simplest scenarios.

Ok thanks for all the great questions this week. We'll do it again next week. Stay tuned to my Twitter account for the time and day.
