Rhuta, you do not. There is a section of the application where you are asked to put in your GPA scale if it is not a 4.0 scale.

Hi Will, can I check with you about English language requirement? If I obtain my bachelor degree(4 years) from a university which English is the sole instruction language and it is also the official language of the country, I would be exempted from TOEFL requirement right?
AvatarWill Fenton, Asst Dir

Rhuta, I'd recommend calculating the avg amount of time you spent working on it on a weekly basis, then see how that adds up to part-time work.

Thanks Sir, doubts clarified
AvatarWill Fenton, Asst Dir
10:42
Avneesh, it's possible, but would mainly depend on what your duties were and how this would be potentially relevant to the program to which you are applying.
Avneesh Khanna
10:41
Sure. Thanks! Also, during the application review process, would research experience in a field not relevant to the graduate program carry any weightage?
AvatarWill Fenton, Asst Dir
10:39
Gaurav, we do not currently have a GPA or GRE requirement.
Gaurav
10:39

Hello Sir, what has more weightage in an application  a) Job at a local Consultancy or b) Research internship at a prestigious institute in my Country (viz IIT Bombay India)

Bryant, it is not at this time. However, PhD students really can't be part-time, at least for their first few years in the program.
Bryant

Thanks Will. Follow-up question - is full/part-time commitment taken into consideration during the application vetting process?

Bryant

Is the Data Science program open to accommodating part-time students?
AvatarWill Fenton, Asst Dir

Shaun, for Bioengineering, you would contact Kathy Venit at kvenit@seas.upenn.edu. She is the program coordinator for that program.
