Welcome to the PSO Conversation where we'll discuss a wild NBA Free Agency that has changed the future outlook for almost half of the entire league
New Yorker

So the Clippers winning the finals now?

Kawhi is arguably the best player in the world now and has a high-quality running mate in PG. Throw in a certified bucket-getter like Lou Will, the tenacity of Montrezl Harrell, and the premier coaching of Doc Rivers, and that's definitely a recipe for success
6:59
For the 1st time in a while, the NBA is wide open, and one could say there is no TRUE favorite. However, people looking at LA as the next NBA Champion have a good case
KD

Golden State is beat now

The Warriors dynasty appears to be in the past, but picking up DLo as another All-Star player can't be understated. They still have 4 All-Stars come playoff time, but the lack of Iggy, Livingston, and the playoff experience/continuity that comes with that should definitely diminish their chances

Love to see Kawhi make a power move as such.  New team in LA now. Killed the Lakers dynasty before it could even start.
Rob Mason
7:02
The Battle of LA will be one of the top storylines in the NBA this year
7:03
On one side you have King James and his new running mate AD, and on the other: the Dynasty Destroyer and a reigning top-3 MVP candidate. It's a great time to be a LA basketball fan
Biggie

Nets run New York now

7:05
After years worth of "reports" and rumors of KD & Kyrie teaming up in Madison Square Garden, they instead chose to squad up in Brooklyn, which if it leads to a championship banner, could certainly signify the changing of the guard in the Big Apple

Dame Dolla doesn't deserve the bag
Paul George
7:06
Dame for sure deserves the bag

Lillard signed a 4y/$191M super max with Portland this offseason that went kind of under the radar thanks to all of these other signins & trades
7:07
As the face of Portland sports, one of the best players in the league, and the man that ended any chance the Thunder had this year, he's certainly worthy of a max contract
7:08
Now Ricky Rubio or Malcolm Brogdon's contract.. that's another story
Mike
7:13
The Heat acquiring Whiteside is interesting. Having him in his prime, with new scenery, and better players around makes you believe he will get back to his dominance. The points won't be a stat sheet stuffer, but his overall impact will be a difference maker.
Rob Mason
7:13
Assume you meant Trail Blazers haha, but an under-the-radar aspect of the Jimmy Butler sign-and-trade
7:14
We gave a full breakdown of that move, including Whiteside's fit in Portland and his future outlook now https://prosportsoutlook.com/transaction-reaction-jimmy-butler-traded-...
Quick summary: A team lacking front court depth (with Nurkic's injury) could give Whiteside the opportunity to revive his career along with his friend Damian Lillard

Forget Kyrie, forget Al, forget Marcus Morris, we got Kemba! We're lit
Rob Mason
7:19
Danny Ainge did a hell of a job to rebound from those key departures. Acquiring Kemba (and Kanter) as well as the three promising rookies give C's fans reasons to be optimistic. Boston's future lies heavily on Jayson Tatum's shoulders. If he can become a superstar player, the Celtics will be back to title contention

Got time for one more question
Greek Freak
7:23
What you think about the Bucks? Better or worse than last year?
Rob Mason
7:24
Good question. Bucks were the best team in the NBA last year, in the regular season. Blowing a 2-0 lead led to their demise, but the Bucks still have an excellent future with the Greek Freak leading the way as the most dominant player the league has seen since Shaq. Losing Brogdon and Mirotic hurt, but the additions of Wes Matthews and Robin Lopez almost make up for it.
7:25
Bucks title hopes really seems to come down to Giannis' jumper. If he can be somewhat consistent from beyond the arc, expect Milwaukee to be playing in June
7:26
Thanks for joining the PSO Conversation. It was a wild Free Agency that should lead to an very competitive NBA season all fans can look forward to. Until next time sports fans ✌️
