Right, but that's where trust in the front office comes in.

Hey, Ray. Can you please give some realistic hope for the next couple of years? I appreciate the Rooneys, MIke and the efforts of our small coaching staff, but clearly if we had been in Josh Allen's 4 and 5 to end the game, I have no hope we could have out-schemed the Chiefs. I need to hear your thoughts.
Ray Fittipaldo

There's always hope. I think the best way for fans to judge this team as it rebuilds is the play in the trenches. If the offensive and defensive lines improve there will be hope because then they'd only be a QB away from being a contender. Right now their lines aren't very good so there is little reason for optimism.

No coaching changes? Just run it back?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:57
There will be coaching changes, but likely only position coaches, not coordinators.

How could Wilson have won the position when he was sidelined in the first practice  ?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:58
He came back for a short time in practice before reinjuring the calf the week of the opener against the Falcons.

I have said this for years, Art is no Dan. Is he afraid/lazy/incompetent. I am merely trying to understand not disparage. Will you take my question?

I'll take your question. Dan and the Chief are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I don't think he's any of the above, but he's overseeing the team through a challenging time. Post-Roethlisberger is kind of like Post-Bradshaw as I pointed out earlier.

Is Warren a lock for a new contract? His presence on the field didn't seem as impactful as it was the previous season.
Ray Fittipaldo

He was banged up for a lot of the season. He's an RFA. The Steelers will give him a first- or second-round tender and I don't see another team wanting to give away that kind of a draft pick for him.

Given what we saw vs Baltimore in the playoffs, DL needs to be remade. They also need to bring back Roberts because I am not sure Payton Wilson has the run stopping capabilities yet. How do you see the defensive front 7 being addressed this offseason?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:02
Yeah I think you either bring back back Roberts or Cole Holcomb. But you need dime LBs and run-stopping ILBs in today's game.

what's more frustrating:
1) lack of muth use
2) starting harris over warren
Ray Fittipaldo
1:03
Hmmmm. I'll go with Harris over Warren, but only slightly.

3) playing CP so much
4) using a defense that doesn't let minkah roam?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:03
Using CP so much.

Since we’re looking for a franchise qb and have a lot of other holes, is it even worth drafting a qb in the middle rounds this draft?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:04
If he's a multi-year project, why not?

Ray, Thank you for the chats.  The Steelers have several position needs to fill in either the draft or free agency.  What five positions do you think are the most important to fill and in what order?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:04
DL, WR, QB, CB and RB.
All right. That's all the time I have today. Let's do it again next Tuesday.
