His offense in Tennessee in 2020 was top five in scoring and yards. In 2019, they were top 10 in both and advanced to the AFC title game.

Hi Ray, curious to know if you are already working on your mock draft or do you start sometime after the Super Bowl?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:28
I'm headed to the Senior Bowl later on today and will publish my first mock draft next week. I usually only do about 4. I'll do another after the combine, another after free agency and then a final one before the draft.

is a punter on the table in a late round? the kid from BYU or is it not a good idea to use a draft pick again on a punter?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:28
Seventh round is fine. Not sure I'd draft a punter in any other round.
Eddie from Kentucky
12:29
The Steelers have their QB2 for next year in Mason and their QB2 for the next 5 years after that in Pickett. Do they draft a QB or look outside in the FA pool?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:29
I don't think you can rule it out. Probably not in the first round though.
KJ
12:29
Have there been any "rumblings" about bringing Hines Ward back to the Steelers as either an Offensive Assistant, Receivers Coach, Quality Control coach, etc.?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:31
I haven't heard any rumblings, but should the Steelers move on from Frisman Jackson I am sure Ward's name will surface. Not sure what his contract situation is, but how about Antwaan Randle El? Those Lions receivers look pretty good to me.
Lawrence
12:31
in order, what do you think re the offseason priorities for the Steelers?  Is the draft or free agency better or worse for some of these needs?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:32
DL, OL, CB, WR. I think some of those positions will be addressed in free agency too.
KJ
12:32
Have there been any discussions that you know of about bringing Mike Vrabel back to the Steelers in some sort of coaching capacity?  He would provide leadership and a strong personality that would be beneficial to the Steelers.  What do you think?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:32
I like the idea, but he is a strong personality. They'd have to make sure it could work before they pulled the trigger.
CoalportKid
12:33
Could you give us any realistic path to get past the Chiefs in the next five years?  I know Bengals did it with a 1:1 at QB and 1:5 at WR.  Is that what it will take?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:34
Hope for injuries?
James Ryan
12:34
Hey Ray. Thanks for the chats! Watching the remainder of the playoffs, its so obvious that we are significantly behind when it comes to offense (QB, OC, etc.) How much faith do you have the team will make the right decisions in the offseason to put them in position in '24?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:35
They were in position this past season. They were 1 of 16 teams in the playoffs. I don't think they are all that close, but other teams would kill to have the success the Steelers have.
John Sams
12:36
Hi Ray. Say when I watch the teams left yesterday it becomes obvious how much better their O lInes were compared to ours. Also their OFF schemes. Pickett can be every bit as good as Purdy for example with a good line and schemes. What do you think?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:37
I give Purdy credit. I know people knock on him for certain things, but all he does is win. He's got a chance at a Super Bowl in his second NFL season. Nothing against Pickett, but I think anyone who watches football would take Purdy over Pickett at this juncture.
Matt
12:37
Hi Ray, who will you be interested in seeing at the Sr Bowl this week?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:38
Lots of guys -- center tackles, defensive linemen and corners. And QBs although I don't think they'll take one in the first round.
Jeff M
12:38
The NFL is getting more aggressive in play calling. Dan Campbell says he doesn't regret going for it twice on 4th down. But shouldn't he regret it? Leaving 6 points off the board against a great D like the 49ers seemed foolish.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:39
It was foolish. There is not defending those decisions but especially the first one midway through the third quarter.
Lovemaker
12:40
It's funny to me that so many fans seem to think the Steelers are getting a "good" QB this offseason and they'll never see Kenny Pickett again. Am I crazy to think the odds are extremely high that Pickett is the starting QB for the first regular season game? I would bet on it. It will be his last chance.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:40
I think you are on the right track.
Matt
12:40
Hey Ray, it seems the Ravens have their own "look at me" young WR....then promptly fumbles on his next touch....when will they learn? Just make the plays celebrate with team and move on!
Ray Fittipaldo
12:41
They finally drafted a good receiver after about a decade of coming up short in that area, and it turns out he's a knucklehead. They just have no luck with the position.

Are the Steelers likely to move on from Mike Sullivan? He arguably did a poor job at coaching the QBs... Conversely, I think Eddie Faulkner should absolutely be retained... Agree or disagree?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:43
Sullivan is well-respected in that locker room, but I'm not sure they can bring him back. He was the play caller for the final month of the season. What if the Steelers retained Sully as the QBs coach and the new OC doesn't get off to a good start? There could be all kinds of issues.
Marnie
12:44
Did the Steelers actually interview Zach Robinson or did he accept the job with Atlanta before an interview was set?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:45
The Steelers did not interview Robinson. Once Raheem Morris got the Falcons job it was only a matter of time for Robinson to be named his OC. They worked together with the Rams and are close.
The Lions Way
12:45
While I agree he lost the game, wouldn't you want a team culture like the one he built and a coach like him?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:46
He did build a good culture there, but how will he be viewed by his players now? He cost them all a trip to the Super Bowl.
Tom
12:47
Doesn't KC show you don't need superstars, you need Superstar coordinators? Reid and Spagnulo will beat most teams anyday. Same as it was with Arians and LeBeau, right?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:47
And Patrick Mahomes ha ha
Jay_In_Indy
12:48
What are your thoughts on the idea of converting Patrick Petterson to Free Safety and moving Minkah to the Strong Safety position and letting Minkah roam, like Troy did?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:48
Their safety titles don't matter. And I don't think they can have two very well-paid safeties.
Eddie from Kentucky
12:48
What is wrong with Brad Wing. Isn’t he on the team and a capable punter?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:49
Wing punted for them for one game and did well. I would imagine he's an option this season.
John
12:49
With no takers so far for Belichick would Tomlin really get hired elsewhere 5 minutes after he got fired by the Steelers?
