I was projecting the top RBs and top WRs to be off the board at 49. But honestly, they'll take the best player on the board at OL, TE, RB or WR. I can see any of those positions being the pick at 49.

Based on Steelers current TE personnel and performance this year, what was the main reason for not re-signing Jesse James last year? Seems like the Lions got a good deal money wise, but they did not use him to the best of his ability, based on his performance in a Steelers uniform.

It's simple. The Steelers weren't willing to pay him what the Lions did. Kevin Colbert was very up front about that last spring. They wanted James back, but they knew he'd make more money on the open market. Good for him.

Hi Ray, even if Ben comes back totally healthy, I'm hoping he's willing to lean more toward a running game attack (much like Elway did with Terrell Davis during his last few years).  Do you think Ben would be open to that idea, or do you think he wants to prove to everyone that he "still has it"?  Thanks!

I would hope he'd be open to it if it's the best way to get back to a Super Bowl. And let's face it: with the defense trending up the offense just doesn't have to screw things up. They don't need to be prolific.

Of course.

Thoughts on Berry?    He seems to be very...average.

I would agree. Maybe they'll bring in some legitimate competition for him this spring.

Ok thanks for all the questions this week. We'll do another chat next week.
