I definitely think they're in the discussion more as busts, yes. Both were first-round picks and didn't sign second contracts with the team. Jones especially because he was the No. 17 overall pick. At least Burns was No. 25 overall. It's tough to miss when you're picking in the teens.

Do you think the Steelers get the max (think it is 4)number of compensatory picks in 2022?  They could be relatively high picks and give them the ammunition to move up for a possible qb.

They are projected to get fourth and sixth-round comp picks. But as I said earlier I doubt they trade up for a QB.

Right. They need a starter and the affordable ones are the ones who will be on rookie contracts.

Earlier you implied the Steelers have done well in the later rounds, getting Connor, samuels, small, and macfarlane.  I do not see much talent there, outside maybe Connor.   This should be the year that they grab the RB in round 1

I think that's a risky first-round pick. Guy coming off ACL surgery in December. His second ACL injury. Other season-ending injuries in his past. You just don't see guys with that type of injury taken in the first round very often.
