Remember that video of Fiiney when he was signed? Whole family were huge Steelers fans. Any chance he takes a hometown discount?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:45
Maybe, but every NFL player wants to be a starter. And the Steelers haven't committed to him being a starter. At some point, you have to look after your own bests interests.

Do you expect Minkah Fitzpatrick's role to expand in his first full season with the team? His rookie season in MIA he was one of the best slot defenders in the entire league. I think his biggest gripe was them using him in the box so much like a LB.
Ray Fittipaldo

He was great in his role last year, but yes, I think he'll be more versatile because he's had a year in the system.

When will we hear about the compensatory pick that the Steelers should get.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:47
I think everything is kind of on hold due to the CBA.

Hi Ray, According to several reports the 2021 salary cap will have a one time jump of 25 to 35 Million plus due to several factors - new tv contracts, a 17th game, two more playoff teams and players percent of revenues increasing from 47% to 48.5%.  If that happens what do you think top FAs will ask for ?  Seems like it could de-stabilize the  NFLs ongoing quest for parity.

Of course they will. It's capitalism at work.

What's your stance on Romo's deal?  He gets more than most players and won't be at every game.  Is that appropriate?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:49
I don't understand why players are upset over the Romo deal. It's like a movie star making $20 million for a movie. It's what the media company is willing to pay.

If you had to guess between McDonald or Conner having a good/great season, which would it be?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:50
I guess Conner because he'll have more opportunities to touch the ball.

Speaking of Bad Rad from days gone by,  is there any consensus on one coach that made Noll's life easier and better without receiving much credit?  Even the Emperor couldn't do it all,  alone.

He had some great staffs. George Perles just died recently too.  Bud Carson was on those staffs. Too many to mention.

Watching the RB Dillion from BC run all over and past Pitt defenders was impressive. He was 6 ft 245 at the combine and his explosiveness is unreal. He is slated to go mid 2nd Round. What do you think about him as a possible Steeler?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:52
Good player. Not sure if he's a good pick at 49. Maybe third round.

That's all the time I have for this week. Let's do it again next week at the same time.
