Plumbster, you might be getting your wish.

What do you think the over/under will be for rushing and total yards Najee gains when the Chargers play the Steelers in 2025??  I am going with 150/225 considering Najee has real offensive minds calling plays for him now.

Curious if you think Wilson's disagreements with Arthur Smith, and then burning bridges by leaking that stuff after the losing streak, takes him completely out of play to return. Seems like Smith and Tomlin may have moved on from him.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:50
When did Wilson leak stuff? Any reporting on the riff was done on many levels and I wouldn't place any more blame on Wilson than anyone else involved.

Has Tomlin's view on a mobile QB changed with multiple, yet unsuccessful mobile Quarterbacks over the past few years? Aaron Rodgers and Mason Rudolph are pretty limited.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:51
He says it's important, but I guess their options beyond Fields were limited in that regard... unless they draft a mobile QB.

Crappy facilities. Smallest coaching staff in the league. Terrible training staff. Sitting on a pile of cap space. Are championships really this team’s priority anymore? Maybe they were when Dan was around, but not anymore.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:53
I think they have a lease for another few years on the South Side so there is not much they can do there. I would imagine the new facility will be much better. As far as the size of the staff, Art II does not believe it's an issue. I can't really argue with you on the cap space at the moment, but it's still only March. Give it some time.

If you were Watt, would you prefer a trade to a contender over resigning with the Steelers?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:54
Watt said he wants to be here. That's all that matters.

What is the fans’ fascination with Joe Milton?  I don’t understand it.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:55
Me neither. Someone please explain.

If Tomlin could win with Ben in his prime with the Killer B’s, why does Art think he can do it now? Why not just commit to a rebuild? Take 2-3 years and lay the foundation for the next 10 years of winning like Detroit did and the Pats did after finally dumping Bellichek.

You are leaning toward Fields getting bad advice? Seriously, he was 4-2 with shackles on and replaced by Wilson who then after a decent start lost 5 straight and Fields never got a sniff? The Steelers have question marks in the OL, no history of developing QB's, an archaic offensive scheme, and an organization that the players rank as sub standard! I think he got great advice and I am a diehard Steeler fan.

Be sure to check back into the chat in December. Let's see how the Jets are doing then.

What round is Dart generally considered to be taken in?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:57
It's been all over the place. Anywhere from 1-3.

Ray, is it safe to say the ongoing Rodgers saga, has cost the Steelers from pursuing free agents they really liked?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:57
It certainly seems that way.
Though they'll never admit that

Hi Ray! 5 out of 32 teams aced their qb situation one way or another. It's basically gambling no matter how you go about it. The only certainties are: Mason will be ok, Aaron is not your guy. Why dump any more time, effort and recources into that? Draft one every year until you get lucky. In the meantime, fix whatever makes your d go belly up, as soon as the postseason starts. Would you agree?
Ray Fittipaldo

I like it, Marc.

Good afternoon, a lot of discussion over the offseason on the dire need for WRs. The Metcalf pick up is huge, but I don’t see much mentioned about Roman Wilson, a year ago people were pretty high on Him. Has the organization lost faith in his abilities?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:59
He was injured all last season. Big opportunity for him this offseason to be a part of the rotation if he plays well.

I love Cam’s comment about the Rodgers affair. It’s about time someone stood up and said enough is enough. Do you feel there’s been a decline in both the ability and attitude to maintain the “Steeler Way” since the passing of the great Dan Rooney?  I can’t help but believe that if he were still around, we would not find ourselves witnessing this long term mess and this embarrassment w Rodgers. At the very least, Mr. Rooney would have stepped and added his very valuable two cents - both in terms of hirings and  not allowing the brand to be tarnished in this way.

You might have a point.

Ray, is the Steelers’ coaching staff set for next season or might there be another change?  Thanks.
Ray Fittipaldo

It's pretty much set.

Ray, are you concerned about the number of older players the Steelers are bringing in or is their experience offsetting that?  Thanks.

I don't see the value in it unless you are one or two pieces away and the Steelers aren't that.

thorn hill was solid with the chiefs. could that move be to make it easier if they try to trade Minkah? maybe the could trade a 4th and 2026 5th for tyrann matheu and try to get a second for both Pickens and Fitzpatrick?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:03
I didn't read it that way. He's 29. I think he's the new Kazee.

are they attending ole miss pro day more for dart or Walter Nolan or Tre Harris?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:04
We'll have to wait a while for that answer. The Ole Miss pro day is March 28. I think that coincides with the NFL owner's meetings, or might be right after them. Maybe Mike and Omar go straight there from West Palm.

If Sanders or Dart are available at pick 21, do you draft either or still go DL?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:06
I don't know. I'd love to see their board. I bet they have DL ahead of Dart, but when you don't have a QB...
OK that's all the time I have for today. Maybe next week we'll know who the QB is.
