I think he's a good player, but he only signed for one year. I think they want to draft a safety from a strong safety group in this draft.

How close is Peyton Wilson to truly being a "green dot" every down player?  He has shown glimpses of having what it takes, but he has also shown to really struggle shedding off blockers.  Not sure if this is a technique challenge... a strength/size challenge... or something else.  It seems as if he is close, but I'm also sure this can be said of a lot of players who are viewed as every down players (that fine line that separates the good from the great).

Yes it will be interesting to see how this staff wants to use him. I do know any ILB has to be able to step up and take on linemen. Wilson is athletic enough to run under some offensive linemen or ran by them to make a play, but every good ILB has strong take-on and shedding skills. Wilson has to get better in that regard. But everything else? He's really good for a defense. He's fast. He can cover. He has a knack for bring around the ball. He hustles (see the Vikings game). There is a lot to like there.

Ioane or Thieneman. I'd probably lean Thieneman but Ioane would be a great pick too. If that scenario unfolded for the Steelers it would be a great thing either way.

Hi Ray, what is your personal opinon on Tomlin moving on? Positive move for the team, going to be a disaster, way past time?

Every coach has an expiration date. McCarthy had one in Green Bay. Tomlin had one in Pittsburgh, and I can make an argument it was well past time. In the end, I think it will be a positive, but maybe they take some lumps before the sun shines again.
