I doubt it. They need the draft picks to address other positions on the team.
2:49
On the overtime question, I saw one report where 29 of the 32 owners approved it, including the Steelers. Listen, it's a QB-driven league and a league that's set up for offenses. I understand why they changed the rule.

Ray, where does offensive tackle  fall as regarding draft priority?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:49
Somewhere in the 3-5 range.
Alan

If Willis or Corral is there at #20, do the Steelers bite?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:50
If it's Willis I'd say quite possible. Not sure on Corral.
Jay
2:50
Hola Ray.  With the crazy WR contracts, and huge flocks of WR coming in each year, could you see Steelers trade DJ for picks instead of paying him?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:51
What could you get for him? A second-round pick. Might as well get what you can out of him and hope he likes your offer.
Gordie Lockbaum
2:51
How is that Cam Heyward continues to get better with age?  Do you see him regressing this year?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:52
I don't. He made All-Pro last season. He's like a fine wine.
Matt

Given that Edmunds hasn’t been signed shouldn’t that be a sign that the Steelers should also move on from him and possibly draft a safety at pick 20?  Having a rookie starter there would balance out the safety salaries after Minka gets his deal.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:53
You can find starting safeties after the first round in this draft. I'd be surprised if they take a safety with the No. 20 pick.
Jerry

What do you think about us drafting George Pickens?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:53
Good player. Second round?
Yates
2:54
Ray- Which free agent WR would you like to see the Steelers target?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:54
I'm looking at the draft more. Any free agent WR they sign now would slot in as a No. 4 or 5. They can get a top 3 guy in the draft.

Hi Ray, I assume Avery is a volunteer and not a hostage?  Having said that, is Melvin Ingram a free agent (not wanting him back,,....)?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:55
Ingram is a free agent. Seems he is overvaluing himself once again.
Southside Jimmy

Hey Ray, I’m intrigued by Jordan Davis.  What’s your opinion of him?  Can he be more than a two down player in the Steelers’ scheme?  Thanks.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:57
Tough evaluation from that standpoint because he didn't do it in college. He has the athleticism. I think it comes down to his staying in shape and whether he's the type of player who can get a rush on a QB from the middle. He's not Aaron Donald, who can swim past offensive linemen and get to the QB in a second. He's more of a bull rusher, shed type of guy. It's definitely a projection.

What has happened to David DeCastro… has he officially retired .. one of the best who ever played here
Ray Fittipaldo
2:57
I haven't seen anything where he officially retired. And if he did, Dave's not the type of guy who would announce it.

Does Tomlin really hate going to those league meetings down in south Florida as much as reported?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:58
Don't know if he hates them, but he said he'd rather be a pro days evaluating draft prospects.

If C-Green becomes our top C/G back-up and earns a second contract, is he a bust?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:59
He's a third-round pick. I wouldn't say he'd be a bust in your scenario. But you hope your third-round picks develop into starters.
Tom
2:59
What can you tell us about our QB Coach.  we have two former high first rounders that need coached up
Ray Fittipaldo
2:59
Mike Sullivan is a longtime NFL assistant. He coached Eli Manning. He's well-respected.

Good afternoon Ray when do you think we will get word if Tuitt is coming back. Can’t wait for the draft to see if we got skyy Moore what do you think about us drafting him or Heywards brother
Ray Fittipaldo
3:01
We're getting mixed signals on Tuitt. If he was definitely going to be on the roster I think you would have heard more something different from what Tomlin said at the owner's meetings. He basically said he's not sure if he'll be on the roster. Maybe it's about adjusting his contract. Maybe it's about watching him closely for a few months to see if he can stay in shape. Really, there is no rush, but it would be nice to know before the draft because DL would become a much higher priority.

Training camp back at Saint Vincent's this summer?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:01
Trending in that direction.

Keep hearing that Canada didn't have the correct personnel to run his type of offense. What exactly is his type of offense. Thank you
Ray Fittipaldo
3:02
Zone runs, play-action off those runs. Mobile QB, etc.

3:03
hey ray,  would you be disappointed if they used a first round pick on a QB?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:03
Not necessarily.
Greg
3:03
Isn't Brian Flores our single best addition to the team so far this year? New insights that could  actually be welcomed given his experience. Maybe he could even inject some ideas on defense?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:04
That's why they hired him. Tomlin said this week his role will be "significant."
Troy
3:05
Best guess where we go at 20?  Thinking this has to be DL or a WR?  I know we have had great success on WR in the second or third but is time to look at a true stud in the first and would Jameson Williams be a thought?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:05
Not sure what the medicals say. He's coming off ACL surgery. One of the fastest players in the draft. If you draft him, what do you do with Claypool?
