Mims is an interesting prospect. He's got everything -- speed, height, length. Not a finished product by any means, but he probably has the highest ceiling of the prospects you mentioned. Id' probably say Reagor would be their pick if they had to choose among those three.

Steelers need to draft a RB that can take it to the house. I believe Dionte Johnson ,Ju Ju and Ebron make theSteelers a formidable offense. Just la king that threat at Rb

They need a back with speed and the ability to make long runs. They don't have that now.

What about the rb out of LSU..good pass catcher and explosive?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:48
But, at 5-8, can he pass protect?

Aside from Ben staying healthy, what is the most critical aspect to the Steelers making the playoffs if there is a season?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:48
A better running game.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame puts together a committee.

It’s there any chance Paxton LYnch does not beat out the Duckster for backup duties behind Mason?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:49
He didn't beat him out last year, so...

Why do people view Edmunds as a bust? The guy was supposed to be groomed in year one. Burnett tanked and Edmunds ended up playing something like 95% of defensive snaps and 80-some percent of special teams. He then helped Fitzpatrick learn the defense, played 90% of snaps and was part of the third-rated pass defense in the league.

I don't think he's a bust, but next season will be big for him.

Deep threat WR higher priority than a RB?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:51
Maybe by a hair. It's just going to depend on their board at that point.

Paxton has training camp now

How did we not win the Super bowl against Packers with Randle El, Jones Ward, Em Sanders, AB and the one trick pony at wide receivers?   Turnovers aside?

Brown and Sanders were rookies and Sanders was injured in that game. Relatively early on if I remember correctly. And Ward was near the end of his career there. The early INT really hurt the Steelers. The Packers got ahead 21-3. The Steelers fought back and made it interesting, but I also remember the Packers dropping a lot of passes in the second half of that game. It wasn't like the Steelers defense was stopping Aaron Rodgers. They just made a few mistakes and allowed the Steelers back into the game for a while. The Steelers might have won if David Johnson didn't miss his block on the Mendenhall fumble.

Hi Ray, I would like to  see the pick at 49 be a fast mobile inside linebacker who can cover tight ends. I think that would really solidify this defense, what's your take on this idea.

ILB is a need after Barron was cut, but I'm not sure at 49.

Ray- comment, been watching old Steeler football playoffs from 70s on YouTube. One thing that stands out is how players got ready for the next play with little to no emotion/celebration. Not to say I’m for or against it...just a different game. Do you think the Steelers would be better off waiting h til next year to draft a big time RB? We should have a 1st round pick and there seems to be a better selection next year?

Some good RBs did go back to school, but they won't base their draft strategy on that. If there is one there that they like t 49 I think they'll consider one.

Hi Ray. Here we are, not at 15 watching the players try to get close in 2 or lay up. But anyway. What do you think about two always hurt TE's ? Will the Steelers draft one say in the 4th round ?  thanks for the chat as always.
Ray Fittipaldo

I doubt they take a TE at all in this draft. It's not a very good class so unless one falls to them that they like I think they go with Ebron, McDonald and Gentry.
Ok thanks for all the great questions this week. We'll do it again next week at the same time.
