Fantaunu.

If Mims, Fuaga, and Latham are off the board by 20 where would you see the team pivoting to?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:15
Good question. Maybe center or WR.
steve
2:16
Why is Barton being reported as a better fit on inside as opposed to tackle when he is same height and weight as Broderick Jones?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:16
He has a great athletic profile for a center but only average for a tackle.
Not his skill level, his athletic profile is average. And that's part of the evaluation.

Hi, Ray. Any truth to Justin Simmons rumors?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:17
Is this the report by CTEspn?
DaquidoBazzini
2:17
What WR(s) would make you pull the trigger on one at pick #20?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:17
The best options at tackle and center being off the board.

2:18
What are your favorite away venues to cover the Steelers?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:19
Indy is a great venue. I like going there. I enjoy Baltimore too. As for the west coast trips that come less frequently, I really enjoyed San Francisco and L.A.'s newer venues.
Eric
2:20
Is AD Mitchell a serious option at 20?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:20
Maybe. I doubt he makes it to No. 51 in the second round.
Noah Kravitz
2:20
hypothetical:  let’s say we sign Conner Williams. Then do we definitely take a tackle at 20?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:21
Hypothetically yes, but something like that could be in the works now and merely announced after the draft. At this point, Williams wants to go somewhere he can start, and he probably wants to wait until after the draft.

Ray, coming at you with a dual-sport inquiry.  Is it wrong that I think much. much less of Henry Davis upon learning that he has adopted Tom Freaking Brady's avocado diet?  I mean, his time in the 'burgh should come to an end like tomorrow. Your thoughts, if any?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:22
I didn't know that until now! But Brady was good, and well, Davis hasn't been so thus far.

Ray - can you explain to those of us who watch but don’t understand the nuances of offensive line play the type of tackle or center the Steelers are interested in?  Like what type of techniques and skills they’re looking for vs other teams?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:25
At center, you want a bigger guy who can stand in there and absorb some of the humungous defensive tackles that operate on the interior of the NFL. That was one of the biggest issues Mason Cole faced. He just got overpowered a lot. Ideally, you want an athletic player as well, someone who can pull or get up to the second level in the running game.

Is it at all realistic that Steelers may consider moving Taliese Fuaga to Center as some analysts have recently suggested he may be well suited to play?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:27
I've heard some things about Fuaga and guard but not center. He's 6-6 which would be on the tall side for a center. There are some taller centers, but not a lot of them. Anyway, I'd try him at right tackle first because I think he can play out there just fine.

Do you think that Calvin Austin III will be WR3 for the Steelers again this season?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:28
He was No. 4 last year so no.

2:28
Ray, did the brass know that DW has the knees of an octogenarian before he made his way onto their draft board?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:28
That's why he fell to the third round so I'm sure they knew.
2:29
One of those deals where you kind of figure you got him for four years and that's it.
TVC15
2:29
Which quarterback would you want as your starter heading into this season? Justin Fields, Will Levis, or Bryce Young?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:29
I'd probably go Levis.

Ray I know we all want OL but wouldn’t 1 of the Top 4 WR make the most sense ? This team struggled to score points last year and lost a top WR and lost OT. We need weapons and guys that can put points up. I’d rather go WR, C, OT, CB
Ray Fittipaldo
2:30
But it's a deep draft for WRs. Draft analysts believe teams can find difference-makers in the second and third rounds of the draft.

Have any centers come in for a visit?  If not, any inside information as to why since it is the biggest need on the team?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:32
No centers so far, but they do have 12 visits remaining. Pat Meyer did go to Oregon's pro day and got to see Jackson Powers-Johnson up close. They also had time with him at the Senior Bowl. All the top brass went to Georgia's pro day to see Sedrick van Pran-Granger. Arthur Smith was at Duke's pro day. I haven't heard much about Zach Frazier, but I wouldn't be surprised if Pat Meyer took a trip down to Morgantown to work him out or to spend some time with him.

In your opinion is it more like the Steelers double dip at OT, CB or WR?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:33
WR
JH
2:33
I know guard isn't top priority, but Zinter from Michigan could be a bargain due to his injury. He could start next year when Daniels' contract is up. Might the Steelers have interest?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:34
Certainly guard is a priority after next season. Not sure how much this year though.
Brian in Tx
2:34
Do you see them possibly taking an ILB in the later rounds? I know they brought in or spoke to a couple in March.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:35
Possibly. Elandon Roberts is entering the final year of his deal.
greg from nj

Say OT is picked in Round 1 what do you see them doing in Round 2 WR, DL,CB or just BPA?
