Probably Flowers.

Hello, Ray! Thanks for the time. Where do you see this Lamar Jackson saga landing?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:31
I have no idea at this point. If Jackson was smart he would have kept quiet and out of the spotlight upon the Ravens signing OBJ. He's done the opposite.

Many of the scheduled draft visits are with projected mid to late round players. Why not use them on higher value potential picks?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:33
They've had plenty of first- and second-round candidates in the building this spring. Joey Porter, Jr., Christian Gonzalez, Deonte Banks, Julius Brents, Steve Avila, Anton Harrison, John Michael Schmitz and Keion White as just a few off the top of my head. They bring in prospects for all three days of the draft. It's not just for the early guys.

Over the last five drafts they have taken 17 defensive players but only six are still on the roster and only one is a starter. That’s pretty bad right?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:34
I would say that's not good.

I’m completely underwhelmed by the new offensive assistant. Why not someone with more NFL experience?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:34
Because people with more NFL experience don't want to be offensive assistants and likely don't want to be paid like one either.

Hi Ray-  As you evaluate free agent signings do you think they are setting themselves up to potentially go WR in first 3 picks?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:36
It seems like a WR is coming in the first four rounds.

Any news or visits when it comes to Jack Campbell or Drew Sanders? Either one would seem like a great pick up somewhere in the 2nd round
Ray Fittipaldo
2:37
Predraft visits will end soon, if not this week then next week. I haven't heard about either being scheduled to come in, but you never know. Sometimes agents keep that stuff quiet. Most don't though.
Chuck Noll

Former Steeler all-pro cornerback successfully made the transition to safety. Is this what the Steelers have in mind with Peterson as he ages?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:38
Peterson said the Steelers talked to him about moving around the secondary, but I don't think a full-time move to safety was discussed.

Ray, do you think Benny Snell agrees to a low cost one year deal to return to the Steelers or has that ship sailed?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:40
He hasn't signed anywhere yet, so that remains a possibility.

Curious if there is a Dline prospect the Steelers could take in the first 3 picks. I feel that is equally as important as Oline. Maybe more important.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:41
Sure. Keanu Benton, Brian Bresee and Mazi Smith are a few names to keep an eye on.

Ray, thanks for the chats.  Can anything be read into the fact that of all the visitors, with the exception of Porter and Gonzalez, the rest look like 32/49/80 candidates?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:43
Not really. They brought in Gonzalez because they didn't go to Oregon's pro day. The same with Banks. At least Tomlin and Khan did not go to Maryland's pro day. It's not unusual for first-round picks not to have top-30 visits with the Steelers because they get all of that scouting down on campus and at dinner, etc.

Hi Ray…. I was wondering if you saw Darnell Wright’s rather immature tweet (to I assume a fan) in the past day, and wondered if this would affect your decision to take him in the first round?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:45
No it doesn't.
Mike from DC
2:46
Do you think the amount of scouting they are doing on WRs means they are not confident in Calvin Austin returning to form from injury?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:46
Returning to form? He's never played in an NFL game. The only form the Steelers know is the form he showed at Memphis and that's of little comfort to them. Austin has to earn a role on this team and the Steelers are looking for players to push him and compete with him.

Ray in your opinion if the Steelers do trade up what would it be for OT or CB
Ray Fittipaldo
2:47
Either if they have strong conviction on the prospect.

Devon White requesting a trade from TB. Any chance we get the guy we wanted...
Ray Fittipaldo
2:49
White is set to make almost $12 million guaranteed in the final year of his rookie deal. I'm not sure what I would be willing to give up for a rental especially after I just spent some money in free agency on two other guys. But if the Bucs want to give him away for a late-round pick...
Tom
2:49
do we take BPA in round one or do you think it's position of need?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:50
BPA at CB, OL or DL. Would be surprised if it's any other position in Round 1.
2:51
Thanks for taking part in today's chat. We'll do it again next week.
