Makes it much less likely.

Hi Ray - thanks for the chats.  Anything to read into no inside linebackers among the 30 visits to the South Side?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:22
They could still draft one, but once they spent money on Elandon Roberts and Cole Holcomb in free agency I didn't think it was high on the list of needs.

What is your opinion of new  wide reciever pick up Allen Robinson.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:24
He's dealt with injuries the past two years as well as uneven play at QB. He's on the books for $10 million so unless the salary is adjusted he'd have to put up some pretty big numbers to justify that salary. I'd say 60 catches and 700 yards with four TDs would be satisfactory is he remains on the $10 million salary.

Your guess on QB3? A seasoned vet or a back of the draft developmental rookie (think Sean Clifford)?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:24
My guess is a young QB in the draft or undrafted free agency.

Hey Ray, Mark Robinson didn't play much special teams (if at all) and didn't get much game action till late in the season. Wouldn't his speed and hard-hitting ability make him a perfect special teams mavin, or is there more they need to unlock for him to be a full-time contributor?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:25
Players like Robinson usually proves themselves on special teams before ascending to a position player role in the lineup. Not sure why Robinson didn't factor in as a special-teams player, but they did like his development enough late in the season that he played a few snaps.

Best guess as to what the Allen Robinson trade means? Steelers not enamored with the WR class? Diontae traded? KP gonna throw the ball more this year?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:27
My guess is they don't want to invest in a WR in the first four rounds of this draft and trading for Robinson allows them to pick other positions of need.

What salary should Steelers assume for Allen Robinson? 5k of 15k contract for 2023?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:28
The Rams picked up his roster bonus in March. He's set to earn $10 million in salary for 2023. So unless the Steelers and his agent agreed to a reduced contract that's what he'll play for. Still waiting for details of the trade.

Is Anthony Miller going to be the surprise contributor this year? The team certainly looks content with their WR group at this moment.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:28
They kept him around for a reason. I think he'll compete with Austin for the No. 4 role.
Rodney Ross
2:28
What is compensation looking like for ARob? What should we be comfortable giving up? A 4th rounder seems too much at this point in his career.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:29
I agree. All that's left are two seventh-rounders so it could be one of those. Also could be a future draft pick.

The punter we signed from the Jets, do you believe he has a legit chance of being our punter this season. When we have to punt with Harvin, I actually get angina. He is so inconsistent and it seems like the inconsistencies come always at a crucial time. I’d really like to see the Steelers find someone else, but someone better. I hope this guy might be the one. What is your opinion?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:30
They needed to bring in some competition for Harvin after he was so inconsistent again. I don't think it's guaranteed Harvin will get beat out, but Mann isn't just a camp leg.

Hey Ray, I have to ask, if the Robinson trade is executed, does this move WR down or off the draft board?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:31
Move down for sure I would think.

Do the Steelers ever draft a player they didn't have in for a top 30 visit? Did Pickett have one?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:32
Sure that happens quite a bit. A lot of times, they'll take guys after attending their pro day. I think top-30 visits are important, but they're not the only thing.

Ray. if they trade for Allen Robinson, are there any remaining glaring holes in the roster? Backup OLB maybe?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:33
I would say that's a pretty big hole, yes.

If you are running the Steelers, would you rather spend one of your second round picks to move up a few notches in this draft? Or would you consider dropping back from 17 and perhaps adding one or two more picks? Or are you happy to sit pat and have three of the top 49 players? All three seem like realistic options.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:34
I'd be happy to stand pat, but if there is a trade I think they'd move down to accumulate another pick.

Good afternoon Ray which cornerback do we draft if not Joey Porter jr can’t wait for the draft soon go Steelers
Ray Fittipaldo
2:35
I think they like Julius Brents from Kansas State. He could be the p[ick at 49 if they don't take one at 17 or 32.

I did a Mock Draft where I was able to pick up both Deon Branch and Emmanuel Forbes with our first 2 picks, what would you think of double dipping at CB like that?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:36
You mean Brian Branch. Forbes was scheduled for a visit, but he never came. Not sure what happened there. I wouldn't be surprised if they double dipped at CB but not with first two picks.

What have you heard about Allen Robinson?  What are we giving back the Rams?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:36
I don't think it will be a lot.
Big Bubba

Your thoughts on taking a flyer on Allen Robinson? Gotta be buy low to be good deal.  Is he slot guy at age 30 or mentor to Austin & Pickens?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:37
A mentor who can hopefully bounce back after a couple of injury-riddled seasons the past two years.

Do the Steelers ever have Pitt players for visits, or is that unnecessary given the circumstances?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:38
They do at times, but they don't do it for every prospect.

Ray, one oline draftee this year?  Cant see how they would fit both an OT and IOL on the roster unless one was a late rounder to put on the practice squad.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:39
Sure I can see that. They'd have to make a trade or eat some salary in a dead cap hit, but I could see it happening. They brought in tackles and guards and centers this spring for visits.

Hi Ray, what do you think would be a good value for the Robinson trade?
