How much will he play for the Ravens? They already have Mark Ingram.

Hi Ray,   no question today just a Thank You for all the mock drafts and other articles you wrote about the Steeler’s draft.
Ray Fittipaldo

Thanks for reading them!

Ray, do you envision alot of 2 tight sets with McDonald and Ebron circa New England in past years? Adding in Claypool that is a lot of size, especially in the red zone. Thx

Yes using two tight ends causes lots of issues for defensive coordinators. Do you go dime to match up in the passing game and leave yourself vulnerable to the run? Or do you line up in base and become susceptible to the pass? Big reason why they signed Ebron.

Thanks for the chats Ray.  How do you think McFarland will differ from  Archer and Rainey?   The Steelers haven’t had much success with the short, speedy backs other than Willie Parker perhaps.
Ray Fittipaldo

Good question. Maybe he will be different, but they haven't had a lot of success with backs of that type, have they?

Does your buddy Paul know Dri Archer was a RB? Just read this:https://www.post-gazette.com/sports/paul-zeise/2020/04/28/chase-claypo...

That's kind of a weird thing. He's actually listed as a WR by pro football reference. Doesn't really matter though. To Paul's point he didn't work out.

Ray,  Thanks for the chats.  I believe Joe Burrow is going to be one hell of a player for the Bengals.  I also like the recent Steeler draft aside from the Maryland picks.  Your thoughts please.
Ray Fittipaldo
3:02
Burrow should be a good pro. Don't expect a lot right away though because that roster isn't set up to win now. And I'm ok with the Steelers draft.

Can you think of a recent receiving lineup that would match Vance, Ebron, Juju & Claypool in terms of size?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:03
And Ebron and Claypool can run too.

Given the covid situation and uncertainty, how many plays in an actual game do you think Ben will get before week 1?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:04
Maybe none if there is no preseason.

seems like all of the four top war's -- juju, johnson, washington and now claypool -- are outside-type guys. so who plays the slot?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:05
JuJu can definitely thrive in the slot. And I think Diontae Johnson can move in there and have success too. Even Washington.

Do you think Claypool will fill the Gunner role on special teams that Johnny Holton had?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:05
I'm not exactly sure where he'll line up, but I was told he'll be a top special teams player for the Steelers as a rookie.

Hi Ray, even though Steelers drafted a safety, who is actually the backup for Minkah, if God forbid, he gets hurt?  Their group of safeties lean more toward strong than free.  Thanks!
Ray Fittipaldo
3:06
I think right now it's Jordan Dangerfield.
Rob
3:06
Do the Steelers draft a qb next year?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:06
I think that's a good possibility, but also depends on where they're drafting.

Do you think we passed on Dobbins and Akers with McFarland in mind due to Tomlin and Canada's connection to the MD program with the thinking he would be available in later rounds?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:08
I wouldn't say that, but I do think the Steelers drafted players where they had connections so Canada's presence on the staff certainly played into those picks.
OK thanks for all the questions this week. We'll do it again next week at the same time.
