There are 10 OTAs over the next three weeks and then a mandatory minicamp the following week. They won't don pads until training camp.

Tuitt was a major disappointment last year. What backup could push him for playing time?
Ray Fittipaldo

I don't think there are any. The Steelers need Tuitt to reach his potential though. He would add another dimension to that defense if he could find a way to be as productive/disruptive as Cam Heyward.

Do the Steelers now prefer the smaller, more disciplined receivers over the taller ones? When they drafted Johnson they passed on some of the bigger guys.

Yes, receivers coach Darryl Drake addressed this a bit when he spoke to reporters after the draft. Sometimes, those bigger receivers aren't complete receivers. In other words, they're fast and tall and an sometimes make big plays, but they can't run all the routes. The Steelers right now are looking for complete receivers that can do everything. I think that's why Diontae Johnson was selected over others such as Hakeem Butler.

Ray,  if the Steelers cut Bud DuPree before the season starts do they owe him the 9.2 million?
Ray Fittipaldo

No, but they won't cut him.
OK that's it for this week. Thanks for all the great questions. We'll do it again next week. Bye now.
